"I appreciate you Tiny Cooper!"
I can't even think of what to say that would be worthy enough for this book. It was amazing. It's funny, sad, and thought-provoking. A true to life coming of age tale about learning to be happy with who you are. If you want to discover a little about yourself and your relationships with the people around you or just want to laugh out loud then have a go.
"This book did stuff to my heart."
There are books you don’t like, books you like, books you love & then there are the books you fall completely in love with. The latter is where I’d place this book for me. Never have I come across a book so realistic yet captivating. I can see these characters so clearly in my mind. I can believe everything that’s happening. Jonathan, Bobby, & Claire present an unconventional way of living that just felt so real to me. This book will not be for everyone but, you know, I kind of love that about it. The story stays strong from it’s beginning to it’s beautiful ending.
The audiobook itself is amazing. Read so perfectly by the four narrators.
"Based on TV show not the book"
So, I was nearly finished with this book when I started to get a bit confused. The events in this book are different from what we were told in the first Vampire Diaries book. Only to realize that this book is based off the TV series and not (as I thought) the book. It was still good though. And if you're a fan of the TV series then definitely check it out. I'm not sorry I read it, just confused. Enjoy. Also, Kevin T. Collins is a great narrator.
"refreshingly unique"
Beautiful Creatures was unlike any other book I've read. It had so many twists, turns, and surprises that it was impossible to guess anything right. Just when I think i've figured something out I get thrown a curve. And that is so refreshing. It's mind boggling in the best way. YA fantasy stories don't usually take place in the South, but this book was spot on. The audiobook was amazing. It was performed unlike any other audiobook I've heard. It comes complete with rain sounds, singing, & much more.
"For anyone who wants more 10th & Rose"
I loved this book. It was clever and fun with some very sweet moments between The Doctor and Rose. Besides who wouldn't want to hear David Tennant talk for nearly 2 & 1/2 hours? You don't have to worry about this story going against cannon or being unfaithful to the Doctor Who series. I too enjoyed the author interview at the end. I'm a huge Doctor Who fan and this was my first Doctor Who audiobook and I'm so glad I gave it a listen.
"Best VA book yet!"
I loved this book. Blood Promise bored me a bit but Spirit Bound more then made up for it. Full of surprises, twists, a love triangle & even a couple of cliffhangers. Rose Hathaway is a kick-butt narrator and Adrian Iashkov can make a girl swoon. You're left wanting the next (and last) book. The narrator was good, not as good as Khristine Hvam but good.
"Rick Riordan does it again..."
I loved the Percy Jackson series so I knew this would be good. But I didn't know just how good it would be. Turns out it was full of surprises and twists that keeps you guessing until the very last page. Just like with the Percy Jackson series you get a refresher course in & learn more about mythology; this time Egyptian. Both Carter & Sadie Kane are fantastic main characters. Both strong and smart for their ages of 14 and 12 without being unrealistic. The Red Pyramid is not only captivating but hilarious too. You shut the book wanting more. This is definitely a book for all ages.
"A different kind of love story"
Shiver gives a fresh new take on the werewolf genre. It's a beautiful love story with a lovable hero and a strong independent heroine. It will make you laugh and oh yes, it will make you cry until the very last sentence. Maggie Stiefvater's writing shows that she's not afraid to make her story different from other stories. You'll understand what I mean by that when you begin to read Shiver.
"A story that will stay with you always"
It was brilliant, haunting, tragic and beautiful all at the same time. Unwind will keep you on your toes until the very last scene. If you're a fan of Scott Westerfeld's Uglies Series and Suzanne Collins Hunger Games Series then you will love this book. Luke Daniels is an amazing narrator with a voice that really draws you into Neal's wonderful book.
"So in love with this series"
It's the first book in an amazing series. Cassandra Clare has a wonderful writing style and a large wonderful unique cast of characters that I haven't seen since I read Harry Potter. We get fresh story-lines in a world so full and magical that there's room for everyone: the shadowhunters, humans, vampires, faeries, werewolves, warlocks, demons and more. And what a relief it is to have a strong main character, Clary, that is likable from start to finish. And best of all is that Cassandra Clare is not afraid to take shocking "oh no she didn't" risks.
