"I like it but...."
If I didn't like this series so much I would have felt I over paid. It was way too short, honestly if it weren't for book 5 being out I would whine more. There was a few good parts but I felt it was just a little slow. by the time it started really getting interesting it was over. ARG! After I read book 5 I will re-review this book and see whether the added information here was that important. I also thought that Luke was reading a little slow in the beginning, like he just woke up. It was still good.... hmmm yaaa...ahh Mostly. :)
Don't dis-me I gave it 5 stars... :)

"Not Bad."
Do read the "Night Huntress" series first, then read "Night Huntress World" series before you read this series. :)
Seriously, I thought this book was more about the struggle of Vlad and his New GF working out their issues towards each other then any real adventure. It is not until the last couple chapters that the book really gets started and then it ends on a cliff-hanger. Not happy.
The Narrator is freaken AWESOME! She really OMG get into her the part. I think the guys in the studio may have had issues recording some of the scenes she acted out. I have no doubt everyone one needed a cigarette afterwords. lol
Wow'ness on that. The book was interesting, but just not what I wanted. I wanted what Jeaniene has done with every other book. Awe well,
All the series were very well done, I can't wait for the next. :)

This was with Vlad and how he gets his new GF. :)
"Good Book"
This is a tough book to get through. I feel like Brian Greene is trying to add drama and excitement where none needs to be. Or maybe he just wants to wow the readers/listeners with is amazing vocabulary of descriptive words. I think Brian has some great ideas however I feel he tiptoes around the points he is trying to make in his attempt to keep everyone (that may not agree with him) happy . He touches all the bases without really committing to the points I believe he is trying to make, playing instead in the land of innuendos.
I realize that in today's world nothing is %100% solid and almost anyone who puts all their eggs in one basket is going to be scrutinized. But that is the price of a dream or a belief. This is also the fuel used to motivate others to prove a theory right or wrong. Progress will never be made one way or the other if someone doesn't take a stand. Whether you are proved right or wrong, progress was made. I realize that getting proved wrong isn't something anyone would like to experience. But... I don't know, I have listened to this book several times, awed by Brian's writing skill and vocabulary, but all his key points are diluted and spread across the whole book in innuendos that I believe he did intentionally to play it safe.
For creativity I would give this 5 stars, but for information.... Not sure, Still thinking. :)

"Very Good. :)"
Very Entertaining. Always nice to see how the idea of vampires have evolved. If you like these type of books you will not be disappointed in this series... However, it would be better if you do read the Night Huntress series first, this series branches off from that one. Although reading the Night Huntress series is not a requirement it will provide a HUGE background of the people in this book, I think it makes this series even more enjoyable.

"LoL.."
It was an interesting listen. Just to get a little understanding of how reality is viewed by some is entertaining all by itself. Christian writes this book in (all most) a case study format. Pulling in some history as well as (supposedly) applicable chants and directions adding his own personal experiences to the mix. But still... I would think that people as a whole would finally pull away from old school ritualistic ignorance and evolve to new levels. Learning from the Dead? Please... It's not that I am a non-believer, it's just that I know of better ways to get the same results. I would post here but I am tired of people taking my words and twisting them around. If you are just looking for and idea of how people that dabble in this type of primitive ritualistic ideology think, this is a very interesting read. If you are actually looking for usable sustenance, you really need to start looking inside yourself. Once you begin to realize you are the energy inside, you will start to feel your relationship to the energy outside yourself. Once that happens, life will begin to lead you to your answers.
Good Luck.

"Great Story"
The whole book had me entertaining the idea of such a conspiracy. The way it was written was very creative, I researched a few things after the book and found it to be incredibly accurate and played with current conspiracies. I think a lot of people will start to play this angle in other stories too. Can't wait for someone to explain JFK and 911. :)
"eh."
There were a couple things said that I took away, but ... Primitive Old School Bla..
"Not Bad."
I honestly am not sure how to rate this book. It is not bad, do believe I liked "On a Pale Horse" more but I would not say this book was worse than the first one, both were really slow and just interesting enough to keep my attention. The idea that Death, Time, War, Nature, Fate are offices to be held by incarnations is entertaining all by itself. I think this author (based on these first two books) is a Good Person and his writing mimics his own personality... Simple, Organized, OCD. Honestly I think there could be so much more to these first two books.
If you are into SLOW mellow (very mellow) drama, that plays in the area of magic and sci-fi. Very few PG rated undertones (by today's standards).
It is books like this that inspire me to write my own. :) And one of the things I do like about these first two book is the Authors Notes on the end. I think it is awesome that he took the time to share. That in itself makes these books worth it to me.

"Not Bad."
This book started off really slow and it didn't pickup that much afterwards, however it was good enough to keep my interest. Really I think the idea behind what this book is about is what kept my interest, it is a totally new and rather refreshing idea of looking at the dark thoughts of death. I especially like that the author put a little extra at the end, about his own ideas of life and some of the things that happened to him that were incorporated into some of the stories in the book. There were some funny parts to this book and even though it was kind of slow... It was interesting (did I say that already... Sorry). I debated whether or not to buy the next book, but gave-in even though most of the reviews suggest that this book was better then the second one. Which worries me a little. I guess I will let you know when I finish it. :)
