Far different then the tips and tricks sales books that flood the market place, this book is completely original. The Maverick Method takes a modeling approach and matches it to the terrain of the complex sale. The case studies and strategies are all based on real people who have outsold their competitors, which is incredibly valuable. With the focus of the book being that there is no one way to win a deal, it does not push that there is only one way to sell. The focus of the book is on advanced selling skills and strategies that I have not seen anywhere else, they are easy to learn and make perfect sense. Even if you are an A-Player with twenty years of experience you will be inspired by this book.
You have to get the audible version because Carol's delivery is priceless.
It was so natural and authentic. Carol has a clear and honest view on life that does not ignore our sensitivity. That and her humor will make you howl in laughter.
Be careful to play this in private because you will lose it several times. Carol has a way of surprising you will a perfect observation when you least expect putting you into a surprise laughter that is uncontrollable.
It is researched backed without being boring. The author does an excellent job with using real world examples backed by research.
It is a great mix of education and entertainment.
She sounds very authentic and natural.
This explains the mystery of top performance. We have all experienced a flow state but few of understood how to get into it and repeat it. This book shares the state of the art of mastering our state of mind.
I wanted to but it is a deep book that requires digesting and reviewing to get the most out of it.
Another book that takes other peoples research and uses it to prove things that we already know. Gladwell is the only who can do it and make it interesting this really hard to listen to.
Lots of fun to listen to and really makes you think.
The big idea is work harder??? Do you need to buy a book to know that? It is entertaining but get a comedy book if that is what you want. I checked the author out and he has not been a salesman in 20 years. He is just selling himself. I'm not buying.
