Assertions like these seem comical until you realize that many Christian parents aren't kidding when they teach them to their children as facts. Every day, impressionable young minds are conditioned to blindly accept wild biblical tales of floating zoos, talking shrubbery, 900-year-old humans, the undead, curses, levitation, demon/human hybrids and men who obtain super-human strength from the length of their hair. Allegiance to these teachings is expected, often demanded.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend to anyone I felt is having similar new views of reality. I still have to be careful with how honest I can be on how I really see things.

What did you like best about this story?

Seth's story telling ability is top notch. He walked you through his early years in a middle class family to his epiphany during 9/11 and ultimately to what he is today. I could relate to much of his story and it has helped me become more comfortable with my own recent road to non-belief.

Which character – as performed by Seth Andrews – was your favorite?

    N/A

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes

    Any additional comments?

I am really glad I found The Thinking Atheist and ultimately Seth's story in this book. I did not end up at non-belief by choice and sometimes wish I had taken the "Blue Pill", but now that I am awake it does not feel quite so lonely when I hear stories like Seth's.

Druid Atticus O’Sullivan hasn’t stayed alive for more than two millennia without a fair bit of Celtic cunning. So when vengeful thunder gods come Norse by Southwest looking for payback, Atticus, with a little help from the Navajo trickster god Coyote, lets them think that they’ve chopped up his body in the Arizona desert. But the mischievous Coyote is not above a little sleight of paw, and Atticus soon finds that he’s been duped into battling bloodthirsty desert shape-shifters called skinwalkers.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. Story lost it's way into a diatribe against capitalism.

What was most disappointing about Kevin Hearne’s story?

He started preaching politics instead of sticking with the theme. Also too much of Oberon.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

He was fine, except Oberon's voice is getting annoying.

Was Tricked worth the listening time?

Not really. Was glad when it was over, unlike the other books which I really enjoyed and could not wait to download the next one.

    Any additional comments?

Not sure if I will purchase any more of the series. It's a shame the series has been a fun read and the whole concept of explaining the mechanics of the magic I thought was great a great idea. Now it has become a Michael Moore wet dream!
