"Awesome! Very well written."
For what ever reason I didn't listen to this book for 3-4 months after I downloaded it. That was a mistake. This is a great listen. I wanted to listen to this book every waking hour after I started it.
"One of King's best"
This is one of King's best novels. I avoided the book for a while because it just didn't seem that it could be that interesting. I was wrong, the book is very well researched and written. The narrator was excellent.
"This is not a mystery or a thriller"
This book is a romance novel. It was classified by Audible as a mystery/thriller but it most definitely is not. I've listened to worst books but I's simply not into romance novels.
"A worthy end"
This book was a worthy end to the Wheel of Time. The vision of Robert Jordan and written by Brandon Sanderson, this book sewed up all of the numerous threads that were everywhere in this story. The narration was great.
"The thriller genre - How come?"
What is about the thriller genre that makes every lousy writer want to write a thriller? To say this book stinks is an insult to the hundreds of thrillers that only stink. This audiobook even uses an echo chamber effect when the narrator announces a new chapter. This is on top of using awful music to mark the transitions.
Do not waste your time. Your time on earth is limited so don't waste it.
"Bring back Brian Nishii"
The character that was developed in the first two John Rain novels has completely disappeared from view. Brian Nishii, the narrator in the first two books, brought John Rain alive. This narrator simply does not become John Rain. McConnohie is simply some guy reading a book out loud. The story is pretty good but cannot overcome the narrator.
"Another good story!"
Peabody at her finest! For what ever reason I love this series. The story is entertaining, the characters interesting and the narration is perfect.
"What can I say?"
Most bad books you simply put down. But this book, "The Gray Man" was so bad that I listened as if it was truly an artful parody of a thriller. It keep reaching new highs in being ridiculous. The narrator sounded exactly like Ted Night (the judge in the movie Caddyshack) who died in 1986. Don't say that you weren't warned.
"a good adult comic book"
A good solid adult action comic book. Light reading. If you like Clancy, you will like this.
"This is really a bad book"
This was the second worst audio book that I have ever listened to. Not worth the time or the credits.
