On the funny side.
Just the right amount of character to each voice.
Laughed out loud and got funny looks from people around me.
Will look for further installments.
Uneven, but OK.
She reads with a pleasant voice and just enough character to differentiate but not irritate.
I seem to enjoy Faith Hunters novels much more than the short stories. And BTW, why should Jane choose between a dimwit who throws himself on all women and someone who betrays her? She deserves much much better than that.
Kate, who stands tall where others might shy away and let things slide.
Again, Kate, a person to aspire to.
The burning. Because it illustrates what happens when people stop thinking for themselves.
I was angry in the knowledge that this kind of situation exists today and that biggots and bullies will force their will on others. And although the end is realistic I wished for a different solution.
Will keep buying this series, the stories are great and the narrator very good.
Fast paced, twists and turns, continuing development of characters.
For one it is a pleasure to listen to her voice, just the right amount of character to make people easy to differentiate but not so much as to make it irritating. And then I had saved this book as a bribe to myself during window washing (which I hate) and that made the whole experience quite pleasurable.
Got the next one before I even started this one. Now onto no 4.
Fast, interesting characters, great universe.
Complexity of story.
Can't say - I'd give it all away!
No extreme reaction but totally entertained throughout.
Got the next one today - yeah!
Looked for the next installment, not out yet unfortunately. Characters are believable and intriguing and evolving. Great universe.
Jane Yellowrock series. Also strong multidimentional heroine and great universe.
Many of the scenes between Dakota Frost and her adopted daughter are interesting.
Looking forward to the next installment, hopefully with the same narrator who is doing a great job!
Good narrator with just the right amount of characterization, great story and believable multidimentional cast.
When Dakota inspite of being scared and coming face to face with her vunerability decides to stand up for herself inspite of all.
Besides the above, her voice is pleasant, suits the story and the volume was kept at levels that did not have me reaching for the controls to adjust all the time.
Got the second and happy to hear that more are planned.
Great characters with depth.
Heroine multifaceted and no push over.
Easily identifiable voices, but not exaggerated. Real easy on the ears, even volume so you don't have to keep adjusting the volume.
She can be whatever she wants to be - so watch your back bad guys!
Have already bought the next audiobook in the series and was very happy to see that it is the same reader.
Maybe the reader, not the author.
No. Unlikely that the same author would produce any better, basic character profile stinks.
I am not sure about trying different voices to identify who is speaking, but I may try another book read by the same reader and may have a better experience.
Alot of the repeating "blood, blood, blood" and other of the main characters repetitive thoughts.
Young people and young women in particular does not need this type of heroine. I would reckommend Pippi Longstocking, honestly. At least she has some fortitude. Brin is a stupid and self centered girl, more than most teenagers, that plunge ahead and create havoc around her, again more than most teenagers. Her "gift" is what saves the day, wereas most teenagers do not have any gifts but rather alot of resources that encouraged certainly can help them a) not get into trouble and b) if trouble strikes use them instead of hoping for a miracle. In addition I would say that this type of female protagonist is old hat, very old and very mouldy and very unappetizing old hat.
No, but would love to listen to her again. Great performance.
When I finished the book I got a bit depressed as I will miss all the characters until the next book comes out. Would love to listen to the next one as well, and hopefully with the same reader, who did an excellent job.
