It won't seem like it a first.. but if you're not distracted.... and you let yourself feel the story... you will be moved... so much so... I dare say... that everything you ever thought about those less fortunate than you are... will slowly melt away...This is a beautiful... sad... story.. worth every spare minute of your time... I don't want to ruin it for you... but... you need to know... that it will enrich your soul... and... it will break your heart...

I rarely have or make the time to listen to books a 2nd time... or this would be one of them...

I would never have though that a dated book such as this could be so timeless and wonderfully written... It will stand as a great literary work for decades to come.

I don't do reviews... Well..almost don't..but this book deserves it. I listen to a lot of books but seldom does any book pick up this fast.. almost from the start.. and continue to escalate without a hick up..or hint of slowing down. This was an excellent book! The highest praise I can give! If this genre is your cup of tea..get ready for a ride!

Wonderful character development as usual for Sanderson. More humor than I found in the Mistborn series. This book had me laughing out loud more times than I can count. It still had all the great aspects of Mistborn too! As always, the door is open to other books in the end. Also, there's a nice subtle tie in with characters from the Mistborn series toward the very end. Very Nicely Done!

NO... You don't need yet another person telling you this is a great book.This book will blow you away... Yes... It's that good! It's not better than Watership Down... or... any number of different books I've listened to.. but... it is EXCELLENT!... a book you won't be sorry you listened to... It's one you'll be happy you didn't miss...

THIS ONE IS... Magical, mystical, wonderful... THIS IS IT!...What a ride... This is a story from an author of greatness.... Painted pictures of mysterious lands... You can't hope for a better deep plot woven story... This is a priceless! Listen!... You will hear that which I have seen... You will never regret the time spent... NEVER!....

YES! It was a great short book... Worth the $?... How can you put a price on something like this... Just my opinion... PENNIES... just pennies... this story is worth dollars... but cost only pennies... I LOVED IT!...

What can I say... You've got to listen to this to believe it (or not)... It's an amazing tale... thoroughly enjoyed to the end... I never wanted to set it aside or check out another book... it was magical... entertaining... and everything you could ask for in a fantasy book... All the characters were well defined and made a strong impression on the story... nothing wasted... Great Book... Well worth you time...

I can't believe this book is considered a romance trilogy. The narration is amazing...beyond what I can express... The ancient Scottish dialect is so wonderfully replicated that I was entranced with Jamie's character... Brilliant... enchanting... warmly intoxicating... I wish I could talk that way... Transporting thru time had me troubled in the beginning... but no matter... it was plausibly and mysterically proven to my satisfaction... and became a non issue from that point on... The sex was HOT!... tactfully and erotically expressed... and overall... very well done... not crude or empty... but loving and spicy!... You will not be disappointed!...

This book had the potential to be a great AWAKENING... Unfortunately... and I've never said this before... the narrator was horrible... beyond bad... I could not listen to this book... even though I wanted desperately to hear the information within... I believe in the great turning... I believe in the cycle of life and the evolutionary growth of human consciousnesses... and that one day their will be a falling away from greed... and the lust for power and control... That said... THE NARRATOR RUINED THIS AUDIO BOOK!... END OF STORY... BUY THE BOOK INSTEAD!...
