Great continuing tie in with characters from A Matter of Time books!
Favorite scene was when, upon Ian coming back from deployment, Miro finally opened his eyes to Ian's feelings for him!
I really liked the story and the premise of the story. Who wouldn't like a chance with they're high school crush?
I like that, in spite of the inherent problems of loving a soldier, they both chose to let the future take them where ever it leads.
What's better than a murder mystery, a historical mystery and romance? Throw in some crazy deluded characters and you have a winner! This story has it all and then some.
Liked the story, did not like the narrator. The story needed to be shorter as there was too much repeating of sentences and phrases later on in the book. Hard to keep up with the story when the story keep kept going back in time and then fast forwarded to current. Don't know if I'll read the next one I'll have to think about it.
Dreamspinner Press has release another great story. The premise of finding your true place by changing countries, drastically changing your career and finding love through all of that was an excellent choice
It's amazing what a person can find when they truly open their eyes! This story wove that truth throughout with healthy doses of suspense, romanticism, and family drama.
Mary Calmes is a master storyteller with books that incorporates the whole range of real life emotions.
I have loved all of Mary Calmest stories that I have read. I really like the "Timing" books. This one is a very loose tie-in but good.
I love Sean Crisden ' s narration. I've liked everything I've listened to that he has narrated
I really liked this story. It was an expected storyline reminiscent of past love stories, only between 2 guys.
The author should try for a new twist to a tried storyline. Then I would probably give it 5 stars!
Yes, especially if it was re-recorded with a different narrator! The story was good, maybe running a little long, but well worth the listening . . . except for the narrator, which almost had me not finishing the book.
Curt. Even though it took him a long time to come to terms with himself and who he loved his character was real-to-life. The 2nd best minor role was his brother Ian . . . I saw that coming.
No. The narrator seemed too flat, especially in the early part of the book. I have listened to other stories he's done and the same problem occurs. There is no emotion, no heat, no joy, no sorrow . . . just nothing. I read a book with more emotion in my head than was given in this narration
Not really extreme . . . just the on-going theme of most gay love stories that of fear, sometimes self-loathing of one of the characters. I hope for a time when that type of stuff stops!
The narrator needs to get better or not be used. I look forward to the next story, but probably won't get it if it is the same narrator.
The rest of the Maximum Ride books
All of it. She brought ALL of the characters to life but she was really Max to the limit!
When Max is dealing with her feelings for Fang and her jealousy. She tells Fang that "there is no me and you." And Fang responds, "There will ALWAYS be a me and you!"
