An intricate tale of love, haunting memories, and renewal, Second Glance begins in current-day Vermont, where an old man puts a piece of land up for sale and unintentionally raises protest from the local Abenaki Indian tribe, who insist it's a burial ground. When odd, supernatural events plague the town of Comtosook, a ghost hunter is hired by the developer to help convince the residents that there's nothing spiritual about the property.

It was easy to get lost in this story. The characters were interesting and I enjoyed getting to know them. The reader did a great job with the various voices, which always adds to my enjoyment. Best of all, the story seemed to have a good grip of history of the area. I would like to visit Vermont so I could see the landscape for myself. The ending was really good. You'll enjoy this book.

Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six. They were married when Clare was twenty-three and Henry was thirty-one. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future.

I really enjoyed this book. The audio version was especially good because it was read by 2 readers. They were both very talented. The story is very heartwarming. I recommend it to anyone who likes a good, imaginative and loving story.
