"FBI Series is the best"
It is a pleasure to experience the character development that Ms. Coulter has cultivated throughout the FBI series. I just love Savage, the tough, vegetarian, tea-drinking FBI agent who married his partner. This offering explores some 'paranormal' activity and throws in quite a few surprises. A fast read, there is something for everyone!
"the beginning or the end...."
I started the Amelia Peabody series with this audio book that I found on sale a couple of years ago. It started me on a journey through Egypt with some fascinating and fun characters. I got my friends hooked on the series and everyone has thoroughly enjoyed the journey. The narrator makes the story come alive, giving each character its own personality as dictated by the author's wonderful writing style. Yes, there are some slow parts, but stick with it and you won't be disappointed! If possible, listen to in order, starting with Crocodile on the Sandbank. Truly a fine experience.
"It's a great story"
but find it narrated by Barbara Rosenblatt if you can. She does a much better job as Amelia Peabody than Ms. O'Malley and her Emerson voice is better as well.
"Sorry, but I could not finish"
This story was recommended to me by a friend in a book club based on her experience with it in the school system she works for. Sorry to say that none of us in the club were able to finish this one. It simply could not capture our interest.
"Robert B Parker special"
Blue Screen scrolls by quickly for the listening but offers a great story and an exciting new character.
"Yet another success"
For fans of the Amelia Peabody series, Vicky Bliss continues in the tradition of Amelia P. Emerson. I simply became captivated with the John Smythe character and grew to love 'Papa' Schmitt. The performance enhances the story and quickly grabs the listening full attention. Start with the first Vicky Bliss and read on. You won't be sorry... until you find out that after this one, there's only one more left!
"Best one yet"
The entire series bears listening to from beginning to end... taking advantage of the vocal talents of Barbara Rosenblatt. The series develops relationships and a history that draws the listening in. This offering, while probably the longest, was my absolute favorite. The talents of Barbara Mertz, AKA Elizabeth Peters, knows no bounds. Thoroughly enjoyable.
"Best Yet"
Kind of a cult following, Sookie Stackhouse is now starring in her own HBO series. The books, however, must be better than the series! This one is definitely one of the better in the series. You can see the author really working on developing characters and their whole fantasy world. Worth the read!
"Interesting series"
This book really ties up the series.
"Where does she get these ideas?"
The entire series is steamy and exotic. If you think reading the books are risque, listening doubles your pleasure!
