I would imagine I couldn't finish the book, however, the audio book was entertaining enough for me to survive the dry parts and enjoy the good parts.
The entire development of the story, it was great.
I think I was spoiled with all the Brandon Sanderson Series. And real epic novels. This just didn't pull me in, the story was jumpy and the only thing i enjoyed was the narration of Kate Reading. I think people who will like this maybe people who haven't went through the Wot / Mistborne/etc.
Maybe his other series.. this fantasy series just didn't get me.
This will be my first return ... in the hundred of books I have bought through audible.. and that is saying something.
It is an okay book... I don't think they should do the two story format.... just spend your time on one book and make it great.
First half of the book is really boring and slow... mystery is not really ..enthralling.
No but he was pretty good at his job.
Highly unlikely plot...
The book was unique. I think that the combination between the occult and technology initially was a stretch, but then it just kind of grew on you.
I thought the book could of done with a little less complaining... i kind of felt the book was a whine fest...
The narrator was great, as many other people had said previously.
I love the dog... made the book honestly...least interesting was kinda the tween(ish) storyline
Same old story
Not really, to be honest the story was a little lacking in some areas, then it split into three different stories. To make matters worse there are times where the book just skips time to come to another portion of the story with little to no transition.
I love how he enunciates the words, his different language skills are very helpful in this book
Not really, the story line is the same as all of the other books... A cop , a reporter (thank god there was none in this book, an FBI agent and some weird things happening. Pendergast does his stuff no regards to other people screws over his friends career... blah blah. Rinse and repeat.
Not this narration of the book....
story was good.
It has a follow up book
I am tempted to return this book..as i hate this torture.
I would, but I would skip through the first third of the book to get to the actual storry.
Well, none really it is unique outstanding book, that was nearly derailed by poor narration.
Oh yes, guy nearly put me to sleep, little variation between characters, however, he did a better job in this book than Clear and Present danger.
I would recommend this book if there was a different narrator. It just killed me how I could zone out through chapters of this book, even through the "exciting" parts of it because the narrator was trained in the art of putting people to sleep. I digress, the story is great, the meat and potatoes of the book is great,
The detail... this is like all of his books are a master work of detail, character development, and overall delivery of the story.
I didn't like his narration at all.. it was so dry, all the characters sounded the same, and couldn't tell when detail stopped and conversation started.
