"oh my, the nerd rage...."
the story is great, the narration is just fine. better in many ways than Marsters-more mature, which is appropriate for this story especially. the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's not Dead Beat. it will take alot to top that book. Give Glover a chance. it takes about 30 minutes to forget it's not Marsters, then the story and Glover's wonderful narration take over and you'll get lost in the story. promise.
"less swearing than I thought there would be."
I've been reading her blog since the Accidental Christmas miracle of St. James Garfield and have been looking forward to this book for a long time.(check it out on her blog, it's not in the book.)
Tina Fey, Winston Churchill
The extra chapter (not in the book) about her job as a snowcone barrista.
the origin of the "vagina" drinking game.
"finally Dr,Zeus is here!"
It's about time audible had "the Company" novels. This is the first in the series, and works well as a stand alone, so don't worry that they don't have the rest of them yet.
"Heinlein always entertains, often educates."
I'm so glad most of Heinlein's juvies are available on audio. I hope they record the rest of them soon.
"my favorite Heinlein"
This is my go-to book when I want to listen to something, but don't want to get into a new story. It never fails, no matter where I start, or how many times I've heard it or read it, I still get caught up in the story all over again.
"excellent"
An excellent end to the story started in Blackout. For all of you who refused to listen to this book because of the misguided marketing, you are truely missing something. The story as a whole ranks on equal footing with Doomsday Book and To Say Nothing of the Dog.
