"Good Book"
I always enjoy this series, but I really prefer Laural Merlington as the narrator. Meredith was raised in the United States, not England and an English accent is intrusive to the story.
"I want my credit back !!!!!!!!!!!!"
Before starting this massive tome-- Go to your doctor and get a prescription for many different varieties of anti-depressants. I think all of the hype about this book is like the critics in black at a small art gallery that stand around and study a canvas, composed of a black smear of paint on a white canvas and talk about strength and passion. In short-- Bovine Manure !! I made myself finish it to the bitter end, hoping that something of value might come of it. No such luck. The author kept giving me very small glimpses of light that made me hope that he might come through in the end, but instead, he delivers a crushing disappointment that makes me want to cry that I wasted three days of my life listening to this. Unless you want to drown in the kind of teenage tragic angst that a lot of kids go through around 15,-- steer well clear of this one.
"At Last !!!"
An absolutely Wonderful read. I have been a Sookie fan since Ms Harris wrote the first book,(a very long time ago) and I was so pleased that she lightened up a little with this one. The last few books have been so very dark with little of the humor that makes Sookie the lovable character that I so enjoy. With this book you get some darkness in the plot line but the humor is there and the ending is upbeat. Thank You so much for a Great listen !!!!
"Hot Darn---- Anita is Back"
This is the best Anita Blake book in the last few offerings. It is a good read(listen) all the way through. While Hamilton writes hot sex scenes, this one has more plot and I enjoyed it as much as the first Anita Blake books where she kicked butt and took names. Hamilton is back to writing good characters and story and much less sex. My only complaint is that the narrator was different from the one who has been reading the audio for all of the previous ones, and I prefer the first narrator. The characters do not sound quite right, especially Jean Claude.
I am sooooo glad to see this series get back to the plot and character heavy books that I enjoyed from the first.
"I Love J D Robb"
Another excellent book in this series. This narrator is the Perfect voice. I will always be first in line to purchase any of the Eve Dallas books, but always want this narrator used.
