New York Times best-selling author Carol O’Connell has won a wide fan base with her popular novels starring NYPD detective Kathy Mallory. In The Chalk Girl, a little girl is abandoned in Central Park—with her uncle’s body in a tree not far away. Recognizing a kindred spirit in the girl, Mallory takes the case. But her investigation soon leads to a trail of murder and blackmail spanning 15 years.

The Chalk Girl has little bit of everything, suspense, thriller, and paranormal. The book kept you guessing until the end. I liked the way Mallory connected with the child in this series. Also the narrator brought this book to life.

Baldacci has written a roller coaster ride of a book. A professional couple get caught up in a conspiracy. Sidney Archer a criminal attorney and her husband Jason Archer a young executive at Triton Global. Become the escape goats for stolen money, murder, and selling company secrets. If you are a technology geek, you maybe disappointed. The technology used in the story is a bit outdated. Ex: (Some of the characters are using pay phones).
Where I'm from the are almost non-existent, except for airports :) and using floppy disks. I don't know when was the last time I've seen one of those.)
If you don't mind that the book is a bit outdated with tech terminology, then you will enjoy the book.
The narrator Jonathan Marosz was okay, I think Scott Brick or Ron McLarty would have been a better choice.
Over all I still enjoyed the book.

No One Would Listen is the exclusive story of the Harry Markopolos-lead investigation into Bernie Madoff and his $65 billion Ponzi scheme. While a lot has been written about Madoff's scam, few actually know how Markopolos and his team - affectionately called "the Fox Hounds" by Markopolos himself - uncovered what Madoff was doing years before this financial disaster reached its pinnacle. Unfortunately, no one listened, until the damage of the world's largest financial fraud ever was irreversible.

This was my first time listening to a financial thriller. It was informative, & easy to follow. This book is about Bernie" Madoff, a former stockbroker, investment advisor, financier, and white collar criminal. Who created the biggest Ponzi scheme in HISTORY!!! The scheme affected 41 countries and worth $65 BILLION dollars. How the F.C.C. was fore warned time and time again, to become grossly incompetent. And how its still affecting people and companies today.
Scott Brick has narrated another good book. Along with the actual characters of the book.

For 25 years, John E. Douglas worked for the FBI, where had a brilliant and terrifying career getting inside the minds of notorious killers. Written with Mark Olshaker, Law and Disorder is Douglas’ most provocative and personal book yet. In it, he addresses every law enforcement professional’s worst nightmare: those cases where, for one reason or another, justice was delayed - or denied.

First I want to say is, I really enjoyed this audio book. If your looking for a true crime book with several stories. Try this one out. The narrator Joe Barrett gives life to the cases written. There are so many words to describe this audio book, educational, informative, and a Eye Opener. John Douglas Retired F.B.I.agent and profiler, has written a book about several cases and trials told from different points of view. It starts with the trials in Salem, Massachusetts and ends with the Amanda Know trial in Italy.
This book is about how innocent people are put in prison or on death row for mishandling forensics and witnesses. And how some judges will ALLOW CRACK POT testimony! After listening to this book, It honestly scares me that these people are in a position of power. Till the day of today.

It’s not every man whose wife criticizes his fidelity, but Jacob Christianson hasn’t exactly led a typical life. Raised in a conservative polygamous sect, Jacob has struggled for years to reconcile his faith with his skepticism about the fundamentalist practices of his community. Not so long ago that conflict helped Jacob to combat a dangerous faction of his own church. Now it has brought the FBI to his door, seeking help to infiltrate a millennialist cult suspected of plotting to kill a US senator. When the FBI ignores Jacob’s warnings, it sparks a dramatic standoff with the cultists, leaving Jacob and his family caught squarely in the middle. Tense and engaging, Mighty and Strong is a page-turning foray into the world of religious extremists, culminating in a thrilling battle for supremacy that will leave no one unscathed.

Jacob is a resident at a hospital with a wife and 3 children. But Jacob has a secret, he comes from a polygamist family. Jacob does not hold the same beliefs. And then the F.B.I. comes calling for his help. He agrees do become an informant. While doing his civic duty, his wife gets thrown out on the streets, the senator is after his(Jacob) family. Now Jacob has to pick up the pieces of his life.
The story is about Mormon polygamists, Mormon non- polygamists, a murder, and a man calling himself a prophet. The narrator did a good job with the story. The book was suspenseful, and educational. If your looking for something different, I suggest the Might and Strong.

Mark Darrow grew up in a small Ohio town with no real advantages beyond his intelligence and athletic ability. But thanks to the intervention of Lionel Farr - a professor at Caldwell, the local college - Darrow became an excellent student and, later, a superb trial lawyer. Now Farr asks his still-youthful protégé for a life-altering favor. An embezzlement scandal has threatened Caldwell's very existence - would Darrow consider becoming its new president?

    Story

I'm on the fence with this book. I like Richard North Patterson books. But I thought this book was a bit slow. It's about a murder that took place in the spire years earlier. And an innocent man is in jail. Darrow becomes an excellent attorney. He used to be friends with the man who's in jail now for the murder of the girl, who was found in the spire. Something about the murder bothers Darrow, so he gets help to open the case up again. So the story begins almost 1/3 way into the book.
I have no complaints about the narrator, he did a good job.

This was my first time reading a Patricia Gussin novel. It's a good suspense book. It's not your typical kidnapping. It's about identical triplets, and there bond to each other. How one sense's what the other may be going through.Even though there are identical triplets, each one is different from the other. You don't know who kidnapped the girls until 3/4 of the book. I can't say who kidnapped the girls. It will give away the " Who Done It". I would suggest this book.
The narrator did a good job with this novel.

"This book will give you nightmares," cautions The New York Times. Richard Preston takes us inside the ongoing war against bioterrorism, investigating the anthrax attacks of October 2001 and the potential for a future bio-attack using smallpox or, worse yet, a new superpox virus resistant to all vaccines. "As exciting as the best thrillers, yet scarier by far, for Preston's pages deal with clear, present and very real dangers," says Publishers Weekly.

The book is very informative on all types of disease and bio war fare. How it can spread from person to person. The only reason I did not give a book a 5 star rating. It was a bit drawn out. But if you like medical thrillers it's not bad.

Jill Farrow is a typical suburban mom who has finally gotten her and her daughter's lives back on track after a divorce. She is about to remarry, her job as a pediatrician fulfills her - though it is stressful - and her daughter, Megan, is a happily overscheduled thirteen-year-old juggling homework and the swim team. But Jill’s life is turned upside down when her ex-stepdaughter, Abby, shows up on her doorstep late one night and delivers shocking news: Jill’s ex-husband is dead. If you never read a Lisa Scottoline book, I suggest to read this one. Even though it's a suspense book, it's about family, love, and perverseness. Jill's ex-husband suspiciously dies. And his daughter Abby is the only one who thinks he was murdered. Abby turns to Jill for help. But Abby sister has become distant with her ex-step-mom, (for many reasons). Maggi Meg Reed the narrator does a great job.

This book is about courage, patients, and being a survivor. The heroin in this story is Elizabeth alias Abigale. She decides to rebel against her controlling mother. And her decision changes her life forever. Twelve years later she is still on the run and meets Sheriff Brooks. Who becomes her love interest. This book has a little bit of everything, suspense, love, action, and courage.
The narrator Julia Whelan did an awesome job. This is a great book to listen to. I would definitely recommend it.
