Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely and I'm strictly a contemporary romance fan. Usually HATE historical romances.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Isabella, which is surprisingly for me as I tend to favor the hero. She is a strong woman trying to figure things out. She has dust-ups with Mac without trying to emasculate him.

What does Angela Dawe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her voice as Isabella is beautifully smooth and she is still able to carry off the challenges of the male characters.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The whole subplot with the impersonator was of great interest...I cannot choose a specific scene without 'spoiling'.

    Any additional comments?

This is pretty mild with some sexual scenes and a bit of cussing.

Colton stole my heart. He wasn't supposed to, and I sure as hell didn't want him to, but he crashed into my life, ignited feelings within me that I thought had died forever, and fueled a passion that I never knew could exist. Rylee fell out of that damn storage closet and into my life. Now I don't think I'll ever be the same. She's seen glimpses of the darkness within me, and yet she's still here. Still fighting for me. She is without a doubt the saint and I am most definitely the sinner.

What did you like best about this story?

    -

I am enjoying this series and I think it is getting better with each installment.

Once again we are with Colton and Rylee, going back and forth, can he love me? Can she love me? She admits to him that she loved him and he goes running.

Colton starts to reveal his past and it is horrible but intriguing as to why he is who he is. Damage and vulnerable however letting his wall down a little at a time.

I cannot wait for the next book and fortunately for me I have it in my library.

I like the dual narration. Each of these readers are excellent and I've only heard them perform individually. The two of them together are a great asset and enjoyable to listen to.

    Notes: Mature scenes, strong language

Credit worthy/$: Yes and yes. Again, I watch for the sales and keep my Wish List up to date so I was able to get really good deals on them. I'm also grateful that I had waited this long to collect all three (*Hats off to my friend DMT & her rules list*) of the series so that I could listen to them in order without having to wait forever for the next part.

A snappy, clever and enjoyable ? Murder mystery! A great introduction to Frankie Bow, this is sharp, energetic and fun. Could be a series similar to Stephanie Plum / Janet Evonavich. Similar but very different.

The cast of eccentric characters would give scare most narrators away. However, Nicole Gose embraced it and seemed up to the challenge. I really enjoyed listening to the different characters as explained in the publisher summary.

    Notes: Nothing to warn you

Credit worthy/$: While I enjoyed listening to this *complementary copy – in exchange for my thoughts in this review* – I don't think I would buy this book on my own. It just isn't my usual genre.

Again, I enjoyed it and it was witty, smart and quick. My taste tends to run darker. So please don't be discouraged by my review.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Thirty-Something Girl?

    -
I liken this to a Bridgette Jones type of book but on a darker level. The Hope found that her husband was cheating and the hero, Sam, is no longer married after a traumatic event.

Hope is determined NOT to find love again because she thinks she is unworthy. Sam has a lot of issues but encourages a relationship. A series of events land them together and they help one another work through all of their previous stuff.

There are some glossed over intimacy situations for those who do not like graphic descriptions. While *I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my thoughts, opinions and review* I highly recommend it. It is the kind of book I would purchase my own.

The narrator does a wonderful job with multiple characters. I could easily distinguish between the four female friends and Sam was the only male of any consequence.

I was really happy with the story and I will look for other work by this author & narrator.

Notes: Nothing to warn about in this one.

Credit worthy/$: Yes for either option. This is a bit heavier than the Chic Lit beach read. But it kept my interest and I was able to listen to all of it in one sitting.

Was All the Blue-Eyed Angels worth the listening time?

    *
That pretty much sums it up. I am not aware that there are any more books in the series available on Audible. *I was given a credit in exchange for my review and opinion.*

While this was a murder mystery and not my typical genre, I got it because it was set in my home state of Maine.

Some of the descriptions were spot on. As they try to solve the murder of 34 church members and the heroine's father. A cold case as it happened to her when she was eight or nine year.

It sounded like it would be a good book. However, I am a bit disappointed with all the confusion and the lack of a premise in the book. The different characters were mentioned and added as the book went along, it was random.

The narration was great and I listened to parts at regular speed, but prefer 2X. If you have read any of my other views you will know that I speed most of my books up to 2X.

Was The Storm Inside worth the listening time?

    *
I was given this book in exchange for money thoughts, opinions and this review.

The Publishers Summary sounded really good, Eve Daniels and Jake Spencer are a couple and they are in love. Then something happens and Jake disappears for 10 years. During that time Jake has not reached out in any way shape or form to Eve. So, when they meet again Jake hopes to start up where they left off, Eve is not having any of it, for the first couple of chapters anyway.

The plot is a bit weak and the "ghost" that Jake is running from is obvious. But one wonders why a grown man wouldn't take care of this past piece of his life.

There is a lot of intimacy throughout the book and if you are into bedroom scenes, bathroom scenes, kitchen seems and exhibition scenes outside you will enjoy this book.

However, for me, the plot really wasn't there. There was no dealing with any of it until the very end of the book.

Leyna Baltimore is a great storyteller. There are the two main characters, Jake and Eve & a second couple who is given a lot of times in this book. Leyna Baltimore gives each character an individual voice which is tough to do, I would imagine. Good performance.

Notes: This should be rated for mature audiences over 18. Mature themes and strong language

Credit worthy/$: I would not purchase this outright nor would I use a credit on it but if you're looking for something that's hot & easy you may like it. Based on the publishers summary, I was really excited to listen to this book. However, it really didn't have much more then the descriptions of Eve and Jake and the risk and escapades. A couple who does not care who hears them or where they are.

This is a collection of stories via email. I could not focus or find a main character. There was a theme about dating and who the perfect man would be, what was up, other than that it just seemed like random emails.

The book made me chuckle a bit and while I would not buy it on my own, the collection made me giggle at times.

Tiffany Williams helped hold the story together. Her voice and mannerisms that cracked me up. She is very professional and listening to this book was pleasant because of her narration.

Spun by Catherine McKenzie Narrated by Lea Gulino

This is a really intense book. It is a novella - smack dab in the middle of a story. Unfortunately Audible does not have the prequel available this time. If they did I would snatch it up in a in a second.

This is well-written, well performed, intense and pretty realistic considering the subject matter.

Amber, a starlet who is trying to get herself on the right track after rehab. An intense love affair, paparazzi, constant temptation to revert to bad behavior and the people who should be closest to her using her and her fame for their own purposes.

The narrator is spot on and a great storyteller. I was drawn in from the beginning and the story was a well performed, professional performance. I wanted to keep listening without interruption.

I will be looking for more books both by the author & the narrator.

Note: Nothing much to warn about here. It is well-written and the author does not need to use profanity to get her story across.

Credit worthy/ $: *I was offered this book in exchange for leaving a review with my thoughts and opinions.* While I would not use a credit on this book because it's less than three hours long. I would purchase it if the prequel SPIN available.

Would you listen to The Twelfth Imam again? Why?

    *

This was a really intense and intriguing book. You have to follow very closely. If you let your mind wander AT ALL you will miss vital details to the story.

There is a lot of talk about Islam versus Christianity. America, Israel & Iran how ... the beginning and underlying story is a young boy, David and young girl, Marseilles whose families escaped Iran. The children are innocent, until the young boy, David, is told that he needs to be an agent, or is it double agent, for the USA. The young girl is out of the picture except for flashbacks from David.

He is raised as a Muslim but this is where I become confused. I don't know if his knowledge of Christianity came to him through dreams or real people at the right time.

I will give it a re-listen and probably continue with this series as it is very intriguing.

The narrator is great and professional.

    Notes: Some strong language, violence

This was an error on my part. I did not realize it was a time travel book, even though it was in the title! Saw the narrator and clicked on it for her.

I could not keep up with the main character-Kit-kept going back-and-forth between 2012 and the 1800s. This is not normally the genre I choose in so please do not let my opinion distract you or keep you from trying it out. If this is your kind of book, it is well written and seems quite interesting, if you're able to get over and follow the time traveling bit.

Teri Schnaubelt does a magnificent job. Her tone is clear and concise and her portrayal of the characters are well rounded and understandable. She is one of the few that can easily read for both female and male parts. Her men sounds strong and that is difficult for some narrators.

Notes: Nothing to warn you about here.

Has Love Interrupted: A Sweet Christian Romance turned you off from other books in this genre?

    *
Love Interrupted is the second in the series of Christian romance books by TJ Chapman

I thought the first book was average to above average. So I looked forward to the second installment, as writers tend to get better as they go along.

I admire the authors conviction and witness dedicated at the beginning of each book. It is a testimony that will reach many.

Now onto the book, I received a free copy in exchange for money thoughts and review.

Love interrupted would have been 1 * but for the author's true dedication to God.

It was over the top in the religious content. Each sentence, especially in the beginning, started or stopped with a quick prayer. For example, upon seeing a rowdy teenager, "God, please help me relate to this rowdy teenager." And then goes along to the dialogue between the characters. I think that much less of this would have been or had a bigger impact – as written it is rather annoying to listen to.

There was entirely too much crammed into this two hour almost 3 hour book. We have Liam the youth adviser/pastor with the calling for helping teams. He has a younger brother who lives with their grandfather because the grandfather is not able to take care of himself physically it seems. We have Katie a spoiled rich girl whose sole purpose seems to be to block funding for a youth center and use the funds to upgrade their church, Katie has a brother has a drug addicted sister and I'm still not sure if she is alive or dead because the book seem to flicker through the past and the present. There was also mentions of an elderly woman was suffered a heart attack while being baptized – she died.Katie has parents that spoil her. There is a maid that Katie speaks to poorly and treats like dirt, etc. entwined the two main characters are Katie and Liam they are totally lost in the plethora of other characters.

If the author had just introduced all of these secondary characters, he would have opportunities later to write books about them in the series. I think that was his plan, but it didn't work for me because it was just too much in three hours.

There was a main storyline but distractions from it were plentiful. A runaway drug addicted sister/daughter, a grandfather who is cranky, caregiver brother, etc. Liam seems to come to town and disregards his grandfathers needs until the end of the book. Which, as my other review from the first book mentions, everything seems to be hurried to the end in the last 1 to 2 chapters. There are the youth teenagers to deal with, a dance at the church, etc. again, it was just too much.

In my opinion, if the author had laid out the different story lines and characters in such a way that there was a focus in each book, on one particular relationship it would've been much easier for me to focus. However, I am not an author nor do I know what goes into a book.

I hate writing negative reviews and I feel like that is what this is. Kudos to the author for writing the bravery it takes to publish.

Jay Prichard is one of the best narrators I've listened to. His professional and practiced voice captured each character from a teen runaway to a grumpy old man. He is a excellent and no matter what material he has to work with I have enjoyed each performance.

Note: Descriptions of elderly health issues

Creditworthy/$ : No on either. If this were a six-hour book and we could learn more about each situation than possibly but not as it is
