Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Sure, but I'd recommend listening to the previous books in the Troubleshooters series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Force of Nature?

I'm not sure why the author chose to introduce a whole new cast of characters in this book. There are so many other characters in the Troubleshooters and Team 16 'family' to get to know.

I also do not understand the authors fascination with including the character Jules in every book...I do not see how his character adds to the stories. I suspect there is an unnecessary agenda here.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The ending finale was pretty intense

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but 15+ hours - wow!

    Any additional comments?

Strong language and a few sexual situations

This is a very sweet, romantic book about selling a house that has been in the family for many years many generations.

Allie is hired to the household of a family generational estate until it is sold. During that time she has a bit of a love triangle with the two brothers who are trying to sell it. Kip is always around and she likes him very much. However Robert, a globetrotter and businessman has her heart racing whenever she sees or speaks with him.

Allie is easily and quickly feeling the sentimental value that the matriarch of the family has for this home.

Relationships are quickly formed and decisions are made including Allie trying to find a way to keep the house from being sold without showing her intent.

Very nice, sweet romance for any audience. It is without any graphic descriptions, there is no premarital sex or inappropriate behavior. There are no swears or suggestive inappropriate situations or positions.

A really nice read especially during the holiday season.

Terry gives a great performance based on the many characters and the diversity of them that she is required. From the elderly matriarch of the family to adult men and women & children. They are all immediately recognizable based on her performance. If I shut this off for a few hours and had to dive back in, it only takes a few sentences for me to understand who is speaking and I am quickly caught up with where I left off. A fantastic performance.

Notes: no warnings here, light and sweet romance

Credit worthy/$: I like my books a bit more racy so I so I probably would not spend any money or a credit for this book. However I would highly recommend it to any of my friends or family without pause. It is worth the money or credit if this is your genre.

Home to the Fletcher family for generations, Dare Island is a fishing village rocked by changing times - its traditions slipping away like sands of the North Carolina coast. Single dad and fishing boat captain Matt Fletcher deferred his own dreams to support his innkeeper parents and build a future for his sixteen-year-old son. Love, love, loved Tangled! In my opinion the narrator did a fine job telling the story. Several reviews are critical of her performance of male characters but I did not find that distracting at all. Sophia has a wide range of characters to perform from a grandfather and grandmother their sons and daughter and several children and I cannot find or think of one instance that was lacking.

I am from the coast, not North Carolina, and selection of this rings true from the small-town gossip (much nastier in real life) to the tourism industry.

Two people from away are moving to the island. The families have been there for generations and the push/pull from staying in the family tradition or moving away to pave a path away from the island. It was all very true to life.

This is the first in her series and the rest of them have already been added to my Wish List! I cannot wait to hear more about the Fletcher family.

Credit worthy/$?: I bought this more than a year ago and the author was not someone I have heard of before buying this book. I must have gotten a really good deal on it. Either way they are credit worthy and/or $.

This is far less intense then the books I normally listen to. It is more romantic than the descriptive however there are a few scenes that you will not want playing if your children are around.

    Notes: A few mature scenes

What did you like best about The Personal Experience Effect? What did you like least?

The Personal Experience Effect is another book that I was not especially interested in but was pleasantly surprised. I found the content to be very, very interesting. Jim Joseph has created a marketing experience from big companies to personal, individual experience.

The Personal Experience Effect was full of past and contemporary figures who have created their own marketing profile. This profile can be successful or not based on their actions. Joseph introduced failed marketing experience with successful one.

Thankfully he points out that he advises against taking controversial stands for those in Hollywood and other media and explains why this is not a good idea for most in that industry.

He also points out political figures and how they have market themselves. One of my favorites examples included James Carville. Joseph explains that how Carville's marketing persona and beliefs led him to be successful for his Democratic counterparts (working for P. Clinton.) Likewise, (this has always fascinated me) he has a successful marriage to Marie Matlin. His polar opposite in political policy- wife, who is an extremely smart, Republican contributor (working for 3 Republican presidents-Reagan, Bush 41 and Bush 43.)

They have both had tremendous success in their opposing political views-each work. Yet, they are happily married with a couple of kids. They have found a way to put their Personal Experience stands aside and have a successful family life because they can separate their personal experience from their public experience.

Once again, Jay has a professional, consistent performance. He is taking care to engage the reader.

Notes: This recording comes with a PDF file so one can highlight the areas they find most useful.

Credit worthy/$ : I would not use a credit on this as it is less than five dollars. However, it is just over two and a hours long. It is fantastic advice with real-world examples. I was fortunate to have been *offered the opportunity to listen to it in exchange for my observations, thoughts and review*. I WILL refer to this book in the future.

What did you love best about The Godfather?

This is a modern 'classic.' As a rule I read the book before I see the movie because there are so many details in the book that they are unable to fit in the movie. However, in this case I did not hear much that I didn't remember from the movie. I think I would have gotten more from the book had I not seen the movie first.

What boundaries would you cross for true love? That's the question a grieving mother must answer when she takes in a young street musician to learn about her daughter's death and finds herself falling for him. A sexy but touching love story that will have you equally tantalized and in tears. Jane's Melody follows a forty-year-old woman on a romantic journey of rediscovery after years of struggling alone. Sometimes our greatest gifts come from our greatest pain. And now Jane must decide if it's too late for her to start over, or if true love really knows no age.

What disappointed you about Jane's Melody?

    *

This has the potential to be a really great book. The mother is dealing with her only child's death and her brothers incarceration. She is trying to find friends who knew her daughter so that she can better understand why she died of a drug overdose. These are serious and significant topics. However, with the great set up she meets a young man whom she assumes was a friend of her daughters.

Then the book goes into a juvenile and embarrassing turn of an older woman dating a younger man, etc. They fall in love and into bed and are in constant reassurance of one another that this can be a real relationship and age doesn't matter.

I always try to give authors kudos because I'm not brave enough to brave enough or challenged enough to write my own book so let's just leave it as I was disappointed overall.

Except for a few descriptive scenes this could be easily a book written for a young adult audience. If you like young adult this may be a book for you – just don't like your daughter listen to it.

The narrator was fine and did well for the subject material.

Monster, Traitor, and Avenger, available in one collection! My life was irrevocably changed that night. The night I was taken. I saved a man's life, but at what cost to myself? Can I convince him to save me in return? I hate him for what he's done to me. But the longer I'm trapped with him, the harder it is to cling to that hatred. He is an enigma of a man, one who is shockingly arrogant, sweetly contrite, and frighteningly aggressive by turns. And the pain in his eyes is a mirror for my own.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

This book was rather fantastic and would never happen in real life. However, as a fictional book it was good.

The opening premise is believable a doctor kidnapped at knife point and taken to another man who has the bullet and it needs to be world and it needs to be attended. After she's done that the two men do not know what to do with her. She quickly becomes enamored with the second man, the one she patched up.

The two of them share bits and pieces of their upbringing. Then the FBI and Irish thugs come into play??

This scenario is rather unbelievable, but it works. I had to keep reminding myself it is fiction - so that I am not too hard on the writer.

Lynn Barrington was great, especially as 2 of the main characters are men! I appreciated the Irish bro accent along with the American.

    *

From this moment is the great second installment in the Sullivan book series from Bella Andre.

Marcus is 36 years old and has just gotten out of the relationship because he catches his girlfriend with another man in bed. He decides to go out and have a night on the town, meet a woman and take her to bed., No strings, no expectations.

Nicola is a pop star with the reputation of a party girl who never spends the night alone. The truth is quite the opposite. So she decides for one night, since the tabloids say she's a party girl she WILL go out to a club, find someone to take to bed, no strings new expectations.

So Mark Marcus and Nicola meet at a club. He has no idea that while she looks familiar, she is the rock star Nico famous all over the globe.

From the club, to the hotel room the relationship begins begins in a strange way.

Bella Andre is a writer in a particular style and she is the master.

Eva Kaminski does a wonderful job reading.. She has a smooth voice and is a good storyteller.

    Notes: Descriptions of sex

I am listening to them in order so this is only the second book from the series. I will wait for a sale to get numbers 3-7 and I already have 8 through 10. For that reason I save my credit. However, they are relatively inexpensive to purchase especially on sale.

    .
This is not a deep book. It is mostly about a woman who had sex indiscriminately until she meets the hero who she cannot get off of her mind.

He is from England and she is mesmerized.

There was a problem with the timeline. It REALLY distracted me. She was a bartender and had been for four years. It wasn't until later in the book that it was revealed he was a college student about to graduate. As her future becomes more promising she speaks of going to college as if she were a recent graduate of high school.

This is too broken souls that find one another. When they do find one another there is a lots of sex involved.

Her past is that she is coming from a broken home, her father left and she had to take care of her alcoholic mother.

She has a best friend who has a similar situation and so they agreed to run away as soon as they can and get jobs.

It was a good read and if you are not looking for anything deep but want something kind of sexy to listen to.

I may listen to this author again but it does not on the top of my Wish List.

Lia Langola always delivers. Her voice can be is sultry and sexy & there were plenty of opportunities in this book! This is the 2nd book I've listened to by Lia & hope to hear more! I would recommend her as a narrator/performer.

Would you try another book from Marie Force and/or Holly Fielding?

    .

This is a perfectly, charming book with a little bit of naughtiness that made it wonderful.

The basics: Maddie and her infant son are living on an island. She has a job as a housekeeper. One day while riding her bike to work, a local, who has moved away for several years and returned to help the family wrap up some issues.

As he is driving distractedly down the road, he hits the bike that Maddie is riding on. No worries, just cuts and scrapes. However, she is terrified that if she doesn't show up for work she will lose her job and the only income. So the hero/accident causer, Mac, decides to help her as she is recuperating by helping her with her son.

Their relationship grows and there are some trust issues along with other things that challenge any romance (rumors about her trashy way & Mac's mother's dislike for her) it is well written and a really nice, easy listen.

The narrator was excellent. It is my measure of how well the narrator does by their performance of the opposite sex. It is a true challenge and this narrator easily did the female roles and a good job with the male roles. (If I am distracted by a man performing a woman as a lisp for a female. Or trying to deepen her voice further than natural.) However, this narrator was able to do a fantastic job with the female roles and it was seamless with the male role. I was lost & engrossed in the story, not distracted at all.

Notes: A few descriptions of sex

This is a long series with 12 editions and it has definitely made my Wish List.

Credit worthy/$: This is too short of book for me to use a credit. My rule is seven hours or longer to use the credit. However, I was able to purchase it for $1.99. It was definitely money well spent.

What did you love best about Lick?

    .

    LOVE, LOVE, loved this book!

This is a the first in a series that I am excited to continue. While it is along the lines of the Sinners series by Olivia Cunning. This is less outrageous and more believable (still out their but fun…)

It contained quite a bit of humor which was unexpected! I thoroughly enjoyed the story - even though this has been told many times - waking up in Vegas married to someone you don't know because of a drunken stupor and, in this case, it happens to be a famous rock star.

First the rock star sicks his nearest lawyer for an annulment but things get mixed up. But Evelyn (Eve) is she is overrun by the paparazzi, Dave (Rock Star) feels badly for putting her in this situation (because of the tattoo, read to find out...) They agreed to give the relationship a weekend.

There is a certain amount of change in his/her life to fit into his/her world and vice versa, combined with, why is he freaking out about this or that and why is she walking out over that or this.

It is a completely glorious listen and if this is the first in the series – when authors start the series the first book can be weak and get better with each additional book. If this is an example of her weak work (it is fantastic) I'm gonna hold on to my seat. It was wonderful and I cannot wait to listen to the rest.

I already put the other three on my Wish List. I'm not allowing myself to buy any more books until I knock a bunch off of my reading list – but this will be near the top when my self-imposed buying incarceration is over.

Andi Arndt is among the best. I like to rate authors on how well they can perform characters of the opposite sex. While Dave was described as a man with a deep voice – I was able to believe in character because Andi did such a great job telling the story.

Credit worthy/$: I was able to purchase this on an audible for $1.95 sale. However, if I were recommend it; I would with/have give five stars and the use of credit. Buy it if you'd like but it is a little bit higher than I would want to pay

Notes: Descriptions of sex, strong language heck of a great story!
