After listening to one of my favorite audio books "Born to Run", I was hoping to find another great story about running. This was not it. Very dry. More like a 'normal' sports book.
I don't know how much of this story actually took place but I don't care. I feel like I learned something and I'm totally inspired. One of my favorite audio books!
This audio was short but beautiful. I can't imagine a better choice of narrator. Perfect match.
In all fairness, I didn't give this book much of a chance. Just did't like the writing style or the story.
Very slow and wordy and, sorry, BORING. At least with a book you can skim. Did not finish.
Loved the prose. Enjoyed the narrator for the most part, a little funky on the accents, but not too distracting.
Enjoyed this entire series. Not the character depth that I would have liked, but a good story and characters you can root for. I'm always looking for a sci fi/fantasy book that hits the right note. It's not the best book I've ever read/listened to but it filled a need. If you go into it with the right expectations then you won't be disappointed.
Learned some interesting things but, WOW, hard to get through. Still working on it, actually. I keep this one around when I want to engage my inner brainy nerd self.
Maybe if I understood British humor. Very slow moving in my opinion.Tried to finish but couldn't.
