"Still a great story!"
That would give away an important part of the story.
She has a kind voice, reads with a great deal of feeling, and does a good job doing different voices.
"Good story, well narrated"
The narrator does a really good job on all of the characters.
The story was better than "Anne of Windy Poplars" and as good as the more widely known first three books in the series.
"A thoroughly good listen"
I used to watch the Carol Burnett Show when I was a kid in the mid to late 1970's. Most shows don't age well, but when I see clips today, it is just as funny now as it was then. Hearing Carol Burnett tell stories about her life and what was going on in the background of her show is almost as funny as the show itself. I definitely recommend this to anyone that enjoys a laugh--whether or not they watched her show(s) when they aired. Oh, and I cried in places, too.
Delivered as only Carol Burnett could do. Thank you for giving us this extra time together!
Each story is short, so it's a good listen for even short commutes.
"Even better than Marley and Me"
I liked the way the story was told from dog's perspective--that added a lot of humor.

"I thoroughly enjoyed this"
Tina Fey brings her personality to the performance (and SNL clip). I looked forward to the drive into the office just so that I could hear more. Thank you for making me laugh.
I laughed out loud frequently.
"Great evidence-based advice"
This is a great book! As a first-time parent of an adopted toddler, I had little lead-up time to prepare, and this book helped sort through the mixed messages with which various forms of media bombard the general public. Without the time to sift through the peer reviewed research myself, it was hard to separate those pieces of advice that are based in strong evidence, from those asserted by very vocal people who have never bothered to research the questions they answer. John Medina did the work -- I won't say that he's smart, but I will say that he worked very hard. I thank him for that priceless advice (and I'm pretty sure he's smart, too).
Entertainment value.
"Gripping, except"
I really enjoyed this novel. I skipped needed sleep to find out what happens next. I really cared about the characters and their goals. However, the ending was really disappointing--it was a lazy ending. It's almost as if the manuscript deadline was looming, so the end was thrown together.
Sure, but there are not that many hours in a day--literally.
I rounded my overall rating up to a 5.
"5 star book, but poor quality audio"
I thoroughly enjoyed the book, except that the audio is poor quality. Books I've had on CD are far better in that regard. I listen in the car, so the background noise makes the poorer sound quality important (and rather irritating).
