I was looking for another author to read and thanks to Audible and the customer reviews I found Robyn Carr. This book is the 1st in a wonderful series, that will pull you into the lives of a small town named Virgin River. Very glad I read/listened to this book.
This was my 1st Kristen Ashley. It certainly hasn't been my last! I've never read/listened to a writer like her. I loved the stories, and while I'm not sure I want a man like the ones she writes, I SURE DO LOVE READING ABOUT THEM. Her hero's are NOT politically correct and I have to say that's a refreshing change, they sound like they should be. If you like ALPHA males and strong women, then these books are for you. The NARRATOR IS GREAT!! HOPE THEY CONTINUE TO USE HER VOICE FOR MORE OF KA'S BOOKS!! I ONLY HOPE MORE KRISTEN ASHLEY BOOKS MAKE IT ON AUDIBLE!!!!
This story was easy listen, it was a nice story, made me REALLY want to go to New Zealand, I even googled a few places while listening. The hero, Drew, was a great guy, the heroine(Hannah) not so great, wanted to shake her a few times, but then..she had issues, so I guess I should go easy on her. All I can say is I wish I had the "hutzpah" she had, if you read/listen to this story you'll know what I mean.
Nora is one of the VERY best writers I've read, that said, this book wasn't the best, kinda more dark then I like, but, nevertheless, an enjoyable listen!! And as always, Susan's performance is excellant!! The love story between Eve & Roarke, good as always, but just a little too corny at the end, won't say more than that...but that's just my opinion. If you know these books, then you must read this one!! Someone new to Eve & Roarke living in the year 2060 should really start at the begininng. Just saying....
Every year for more than ten years I await the next novel from SEP. I am NEVER disappointed. SEP writes funny quirky stories that thoroughly entertain you. I wish she could match me up with some of her characters. Can't say which one, that's a secret, but I will say I just LOVE her books, this one was no different.
For those that don't know, Anna Fields died quite a few years ago, so sorry for her family's loss, and sorry for the loss of a gifted narrator!!
Let me say this, I love Suzanne Brockmann. I've enjoyed many of her books. Just not this one. This story was written a long time ago, and I found it, dear I say it, boring!! Story was old, premise was old and trite. If you want a "contemporary read" this would NOT be it.
I listened to this book while driving to work. It was an easy very enjoyable listen. Kyra Davis writes engaging and entertaining characters and Gabra Zackman does a fantastic job bringing them to life. I don't really have a favorite character, I find I like them all, Sophie, Anatoly, Marcus, Deena, and the list goes on...
Thanks to Kyra and Gabra for making my long commute enjoyable.
I"m putting off listening to book 5 till I know book 6 is available...I want to know I have one in the wings waiting!!
I just can't like this book. The narration is too slow. The heroine is too naive. The hero is too jaded and a little pathetic!! The story is too unbelievable!! Very sorry I wasted my credits on this audio book.
