In the heart of Italy, Harvard professor of symbology, Robert Langdon, is drawn into a harrowing world centered on one of history’s most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces: Dante’s Inferno. Against this backdrop, Langdon battles a chilling adversary and grapples with an ingenious riddle that pulls him into a landscape of classic art, secret passageways, and futuristic science. Drawing from Dante’s dark epic poem, Langdon races to find answers and decide whom to trust...before the world is irrevocably altered.

I don't know why, but this was the hardest 'Robert Langdon' book to get into. All the other books grabbed me from the begining. It took several chapters for this one to capture my full attention. Overall good story though. Gives you a lot to think about afterwards.

I found an envelope in the mail. No return address. My name on the front, my address. Inside was a check, made out to me, in the amount of 10 thousand dollars. Enough to pay the bills and leave me some left over to live on until I found a job. Enough to let me focus on classes. There was no name on the check, just "VRI Inc.", and a post office box address for somewhere in the city. No hint of identity or reason for the check or anything. No mention of repayment, interest, nothing...except a single word, on the notes line: "You." Just those three letters.

    NEW NAME says: "Whew....that was....WOW!"

Maybe its just because I've read the 50 Shades and the Bared to You series, but I think the billionaire/'normal' girl sex book has been exhausted. I found myself zoning out during the all of the sex scenes and when I did pay attention I got kind of grossed out during certain parts. I didn't think there was much to the story either. The sex scenes took up the majority of book and they got old fast.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

"Hate the ending, hated the characters, but...."

I couldn't stop listening. The story is so messed up you can't make yourself stop listening to it. The characters were written so well that I kept flip flopping back and forth between hating them and liking them. Overall it was a good book and I would recommend it to a friend.

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten. Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning-author John Green’s most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

What did you like best about this story?

Which character – as performed by Bianca Amato and Jill Tanner – was your favorite?

Who was the most memorable character of The Thirteenth Tale and why?

    Any additional comments?

The story deals with some unpleasant subject matter in a way that isn't too descriptive but descriptive enough to still make your stomach turn a little.
