Fans of the Shannara epic will revel as the forces of good battle an evil book, the Ildatch, which sends the Mord Wraiths to destroy mankind. To overcome this dark force, the Druid Allanon needs Brin Ohmsford, for she holds the power of the wishsong, a magic invoked by singing that can make plants bloom instantly or turn trees from green to autumn gold.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    No one.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Anything other than a book by Terry Brooks.

Would you be willing to try another one of Scott Brick’s performances?

No. Sadly I got every Shannara book all at once. I suffered through each one and somehow one was worse than the next. They are boring stay away.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    No

    Any additional comments?

Stay away from the entire series infact anything by this author. The narrators are somehow horrible on every book in the series and the writing is slow, predictable and boring. You could skip 3 or 4 chapters at a time and stil know exactly what was going on as if you missed nothing.

Before she went to join Sam and Mogget downstairs, Lirael paused for a moment to look at herself in the tall silver mirror that hung on the wall of her room. The image that faced her bore little resemblance to the Second Assistant Librarian of the Clayr. She saw a warlike and grim young woman, dark hair bound back with a silver cord rather than hanging free to disguise her face. She no longer wore her librarian's waistcoat, and she had a long Nehima at her side rather than a library-issue dagger.

Lirael has never felt like a true daughter of the Clayr. Abandoned by her mother, ignorant of her father's identity, Lirael resembles no one else in her large extended family living in the Clayr's glacier. She doesn't even have the Sight, the ability to See into the present and possibly futures, that is the very birthright of the Clayr.

So...you'd think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark's life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions.

    What disappointed you about Tempted?

The idea and story to the vampires I thought was really good. However the fact that only a 14 year old girl could relate to the story kept me from enjoying the series.

Has Tempted turned you off from other books in this genre?

The genre of nice vampires who fall in love and care..Yes it has. It has not turned me off to Fantasy.

Would you be willing to try another one of Cassandra Morris’s performances?

    Yes.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Tempted?

    The entire book.
