The promise, as I remember it, happened this way. Happy and content in his hometown of Aurora, Minnesota, Cork O'Connor has left his badge behind and is ready for a life of relative peace, setting up shop as a private investigator. But his newfound state of calm is soon interrupted when Henry Meloux, the Ojibwe medicine man and Cork's spiritual adviser, makes a request: Will Cork find the son that Henry fathered long ago?

Robert says: "WHY THE CHANGE IN NARRATOR!!!!!?"
    "Taking a serious step backwards!"

What did you like best about Thunder Bay? What did you like least?

Fine story, but why, oh why, did they change readers? I loved David Chandler's narration but his guy is very difficult to listen to. I now need to decide if I will listen to the next four books or just skip to book 12 which is a return to Chandler's narration. I love the books and characters but, oi vey... it was laborious listing to Mr Schirner read.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved learning about Henry's history and family.

How could the performance have been better?

Return to the services of David Chandler! It could have been better in almost every way, but Chandler is one of the best. Don't change horses mid-stream.

Was Thunder Bay worth the listening time?

Good question... I'm not sure yet. I liked the story but it was painful to listen to.

    Any additional comments?

Use David Chandler as a narrator. Have him go back and re-do the four books that Buck Schirner!
