    A Grand Adventure

    Any additional comments?

I enjoyed listening to this book as an adult. As a child, it was one of my favorites. I dreamed of living the that museum and hiding in the bathroom stalls at closing time. What a grand adventure.

It's the early 1980s in Belfast. Sean Duffy, a conflicted Catholic cop in the Protestant RUC (Royal Ulster Constabulary), is recruited by MI5 to hunt down Dermot McCann, an IRA master bomber who has made a daring escape from the notorious Maze prison. In the course of his investigations, Sean discovers a woman who may hold the key to Dermot's whereabouts; she herself wants justice for her daughter who died in mysterious circumstances in a pub locked from the inside.

Would you listen to In the Morning I'll Be Gone again? Why?

Yes and I would recommend it to any who like European writers. Narrator is fabulous. Sean Duffy is a character that is easy to love.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sean. He is the real deal. Honorable, has his own code of ethics and is true to it for his own sake. Always evolving and hopeful even when getting dumped on right and left.

Ripley Todd just wants to live a quiet, peaceful kind of life. Her job as a sheriff's deputy keeps her busy and happy, and she has no trouble finding men when she wants them - which, lately, isn't all that often. She's perfectly content, except for one thing: she has special powers that both frighten and confuse her - and though she tries hard to hide them, she can't get them under control.

The series from the Three Sisters Island is among my favorites in the "feel good" books category. I listen to this story when I am feeling blue and it never fails to pull me out of it. I love how Nora Roberts can create characters that you love and truly would love to know.

I love books in series. You get to feeling like family with the characters. When I finished Happy Ever After - I was so sad that my involvement with these amazing women was over. I wanted more. :) It is a series that I recommend with all of my romantic bones! It is a story of the enduring power of friendship and love.

Where there’s smoke there’s fire, and no one knows this better than New Jersey bounty hunter Stephanie Plum. Dead bodies are showing up in shallow graves on the empty construction lot of Vincent Plum Bail Bonds. No one is sure who the killer is, or why the victims have been offed, but what is clear is that Stephanie’s name is on the killer’s list. Short on time to find evidence proving the killer’s identity, Stephanie faces further complications when her family and friends decide that it’s time for her to choose between her longtime off-again-on-again boyfriend and the other bad boy in her life....

I always read the newest Janet Evanovich books. Smokin' Seventeen presents some new situations for Stephanie, but is very similar to the other books - but I always enjoy her outlook on life. When a book makes me laugh out loud - I will recommend it to everyone. I like the early books when they were narrated by C.J.Critt. She did a great job, so it was an adjustment to get used to Lorelei King. She does fine and is no reason not to enjoy Janet Evanovich on Audio.

When Marissa is found brutally murdered, with her young daughter, Haley, resting her head on her mother's bloody breast, she sends the idyllic California town of Oak Knoll into a tailspin. Already on edge with the upcoming trial of the See- No-Evil killer, residents are shocked by reports of the crime scene, which might not have been discovered for days had it not been for a chilling 911 call: a small child's voice saying, "My daddy hurt my mommy."

For LAPD homicide cop Harry Bosch - hero, maverick, nighthawk - the body in the drainpipe at Mulholland Dam is more than another anonymous statistic. This one is personal. The dead man, Billy Meadows, was a fellow Vietnam "tunnel rat" who fought side by side with him in a nightmare underground war that brought them to the depths of hell.

I love the entire Harry Bosch series. This book is the beginning and gives you some background on Harry and why he is the way he is. Harry is a great detective and is classically unlucky with his personal life.
