More than 40 years ago, Mario Puzo wrote his iconic portrait of the Mafia underworld as told through the fictional first family of American crime, the Corleones. The leader, Vito Corleone, is the Godfather. He is a benevolent despot who stops at nothing to gain and hold power. His command post is a fortress on Long Island from which he presides over a vast underground empire that includes the rackets, gambling, bookmaking, and unions. His influence runs through all levels of American society, from the cop on the beat to the nation's mighty.

Good book. If your a fan of movie, this is a Must listen. Puzo tends to get a little wordy though.

They were just kids when they stumbled upon the horror of their hometown. Now, as adults, none of them can withstand the force that has drawn them all back to Derry, Maine, to face the nightmare without end, and the evil without a name.

What did you love best about It?

As always character development is excellent. It was one of the classic King books that I never tackled. Steven Weber is awesome. Loved him in The Shining mini series and I will be looking for more of his audible work.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

There is no way to tackle at once because of its length, but it flows welll
