"This book makes me glad to have time to listen!"
The character development and suspense were superb!
Abby, the main character's wife, who was actually more of a minor character, was my favorite because she was effective and not overly emotional, especially for being kept in the dark for so long...
Tammy, who had various other names was really colorful and outstanding.
I kept waiting for Abby to find out but to say more would be a spoiler.Grisham always adds enough corruption to make his books have that gritty taste of reality. Nobody is squeaky clean and all his characters are multi-faceted.
"The Best"
The characters are so well-developed and the writing so excellent. If you like the fantasy genre more than the sci-fi side of books, I can't think of one more highly recommended.
"Intriguing"
Masques Book 1 picked up steam as it rolled along. It reminded me of an old-fashioned story in which the worst and best details are left to the imagination. The characters were well-developed and thoroughly enjoyable. Narration was lively and easy to enjoy.
"excellent"
Very cool. The hero is so human, with great talent, great tragedies, and lots of learning from his mistakes. Please don't make a movie of this one - it couldn't do it justice.
"important stuff"
I really like Tolle's work. I wish someone else's voice was used for the audio book, but the content outweighs the detriments of Tolle's voice.
"decent"
I found the character development a little light and the fey terms a bit much in the beginning, but it grew on me and I really got into it after the beginning.
