"Cronkite" gives a new perspective on a favorite newscaster. It was well researched and the reader was delightful.
From the first chapter of this tale, I felt disengaged. My first impression was "this sounds like a female writer trying to write what she thinks a male writer would say and do". I was unable to get involved with the story and have deserted it.
Ken Follett has an outstanding ability to bring history to life - even parts we might like to not recall! John Lee matches that ability with his narration.
Ken Follett's love of history is apparent once again. John Lee's narration is perfect - he either anticipates well or has read the tale and knows its nuances.
A Baldacci fan, I thought this tale was too contrived and I was disappointed. I'll read others by him and hope they're more to form.
This is the first Follett book I've read/heard since his are always LONG, I enjoyed it immensely as an audible and look forward to hearing the sequel.
