"If she was trying to write another challenged book"
Ugh, what is this post apocolytical trendiness. Quasi Biblical themes. The narrator was very good, which is why I trudged through this. I suppose the market for this story is Hunger Game fans. I prefer more originality.
"Listen to Ready Player One instead"
I don't really get the hype for this book. I felt like I had skipped something. The narrator was okay, but occasionally his voice got annoying, shrill when he was trying to show excitement. Maybe teenagers would like the book and it is just not one that can bridge it's genre gap.
"Excellent Narration, Skillfully Written,"
None of the characters are likeable, I suppose this is OK once in a while, but I prefer stories where I root for someone, and enjoy the characters.
"Please Please Please, Kristen, do more audios"
She is the best reader I have ever heard in my many years of Audible membership. I really hope she reads other books for us.
"Amazing and I appreciate that the reader skips @#$"
The reader doesn't skip ALL of the four letter words, but some, and I appreciate it, King doesn't need that to write an amazing story.
"Great readers, story slightly disappointing"
I found the story a little preachy and predictable. If you like stories about the rich who have fallen on hard times and middle age people still love-shy this book is for you.
"Where is the humor?"
I was disappointed. I thought it would have some humor but it was very pessimistic.
"Great reader"
I would probably given up reading this book, but the reader was excellent. I am reaching saturation on the ware vampire genre.
"I heard good reviews but it didn't live up to them"
I wish we could get a warning that there is the occasional cuss word, then I would know not to play certain audios in some places.
The book was just ok, nothing outstanding, standard chick-lit
