This is a very good audio book. The narrator fits the novel and does well to retain your interest. He does a good job of distinguishing each character by changing his voice slightly. Definately worth getting, if you can deal with a 25 hour novel.

I had no idea how serious Mr. Armstrong's cancer was. I had heard the "cancer survivor" title mentioned here and there on ESPN or the like, but until i 'read' this book, I had no idea. I was touched and amazed by Mr. Armstrong's story and have a great respect for him. It is truly an inspirational story and I would recommend it to anyone. I only wish this version was unabridged.

I have to admit that I didnt care for the author when she was at CNN and frankly didnt watch her much on FOX News either. I felt that she was liberal and thus, did not appeal to me. However, upon 'reading' this book, I have decided that I was wrong (and too quick) to judge her. In fact, I have begun to watch her program on Fox and find that I definately view her in a different light. I would definately recommend this book.

This book is awesome. I recommend that one listens to this unabridged book BEFORE seeing the movie (if you see it at all). The movie is so time constrained that it looses much of the charm and appeal that the story has to offer. The narrator does a wonderful job of bringing Mr. Abagnale to life. You would not regret downloading this novel.

If you plan to listen to Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose, then i recommend listening to D-Day first. The reason for this is because D-Day is a good overview of the build up and execution of Overlord from a leadership perspective (on both the American and German sides, but mostly American). After listening to this book, you will have a good feel for what the plan is and how it was executed. Then, when listening to one story about a specific group of men, as with Band of Brothers, it will be easier to follow having already listened to D-Day. At least, it was for me. Also, I like Ambrose's 'GI accent', it adds to the atmosphere of the book.

I disagree with these other one star reviews. I suppose it would be disappointing to someone looking for a specific plan that outlines step-by-step what to do to become rich. The problem with that philosopy is there is no step-by-step plan to become rich. They are missing the whole point of this book. The idea is that you need to expand your thinking and come up with your OWN ideas, your OWN plans. If you are looking for a book that 'does the work for you', then dont buy this. If you are looking for a way to expand your mind and excersize your imagination, then this book is a good start. The reason is that the ideas expressed in this book are not typical, as i see it anyhow. I am not a finacial expert by any stretch of the imagination, and i found that this book really opened my eyes to a different way of thinking with regard to finances. I believe that this was the goal of the book and, as the child in the book did, once you look at the world in a different way, you begin to see opportunities that otherwised would have eluded you. Think of this book more like a philosophy book than a 'get rich quick' book. Because no where in this book does Mr. Kiyosaki claim that his philosophies will get you rich in a hurry.

This is a great book. However, it does not lend itself to an abridged version. Sure, you get the plot, but miss out on all the interesting philosophical sections. Debra Winger narrates the book. Her voice is rather monotonal and this book, a somewhat dark Russian novel filled with mostly male characters, really does not lend itself well to a female narrator. I truly wish an unabridge version was available, with the same narrator that does the unabridged version of Crime and Punishment (available from Audible). I downloaded Crime and Punishment just after listening to Brothers Karamazov and it was much more satisfying (from the standpoint of narrators voice and unabridged).
