Top of the list.
The story being told through the eyes of the the different characters. The dog included.
Buddy the dog. Dogs do think and feel.
It made me both laugh and cry. It was sad that the jounrey took it's time coming to an end. But happy when the little things happened that made it all worth while.
I could relate to the experience of losing a beloved pet. I lost a dog once, 'Doc'. I never did find him. This book made me think about the possibility of a whole new live he may have lived. Perhaps he made somebody's life happy.
The easy to read and listen to story line. You really feel like you are living in Jessica's shoes.
Jessica by far but the legal advisor was good too.
Excellent as usual. His voice was made to read Bryce's work.
Most definately a film not to miss.
I read the book years ago. Listening to it again now was great. I picked up on little things I had previously skipped over.
Yes. The story holds the listener's interest from the beginning to the end. While I wouldn't give it 5 stars it is still a good book to buy.
The relatively unexpected ending.
His voice is easy to listen to.
Yes, I have now read or listened to them all.
Peekay meeting the witch doctor.
Yes, I loved them all. Great
It's such a pity there will be no more Bryce Courtenay. A fantastic story teller.
A feel good story.
The way it switches from Maggie's thoughts back to the human beings.
No I haven't. But I loved every minute of this beautiful little story.
Yes I had tears running down my cheeks when Scot was shot. Maggie's reaction was just tragic.
Overall a great story told well. Service dogs do deserve medals for the way they protect their handlers. Great.
A great little story that has you thinking right till the end.
Discovering the crime that was committed.
Holmes. The way he explains the crime is entertaining right till the end.
A great, entertaining short story told beautifully.
Definately. Humphrey Bower really makes the characters come to life. Bryce Courtenay writes such big books it's hard to read them in bed at night. Listening is much more fun.
When Jack was stuck in the laundry truck.
Jack would have to be the favorite.
Jack. He went through so much in his life.
A fantastic read. So sorry that Bryce is gone. I have read all his books and loved them all.
Very informative. Need to know informative about AIDS told in a compationate way.
Drawn out. Could have been condensed in many ways. I felt it came straight from the heart. I would have preferred Bryce to have taken more time to write this book. Even so I really enjoyed it.
Celest. Her patience and love for her man.
A story that needed to be told.
He was obviously stretched to the limit mentally at the time of the writing of 'April Fool's day'. I would have prefered him to have taken more time.
A great story that need telling.
a great ending
David not getting his own way
Hawk confronting David
A really great read. A great ending to a long runjning saga
Yes definately. Humphrey Bower really brings the story to life
Mary. She turned her life around completely. She's smart and controlling of every situation that crosses her path. Her whole life seems jinxed. She handles everything in style.
Humphrey Bower does all the characters well. Sparrow and Billy gone queer were exceptionaly well done.
Yes. That caused problems for me because I sat up most of the night two nights in a row trying to keep my eyes open.
I love to read every night before going to sleep. Bryce Courtenay's books are so heavy to hold while reading in bed. Audible books are a really great way to go. Humphrey Bower really brings them to life.
