Another stupid foreword. I hate forewords, why does every half wit with a degree and a pen think they need to write them for great books. If you have never heard of this book then skip the foreword for sure. On second thought skip it anyway. As for the story its hard to believe that a teenage girl wrote this nearly eighty years ago. I didn't realize girls even knew what sex was back then. Great book, lousy FOREWORD.

Even though the story was good overall it had its low points. First the story has a few cliched characters. Worse though was the cliched beer drinking parties on the roof. Come on clinking beer bottles watching the sun going down, I mean if you really do that your a freaking loser, your a walking cliche a douce bag through and through society would be better off if you threw yourself off the roof. Anyway the worst belongs to the slow speaking pause cursed narrator. He speaks so slow I get bored, I was just about ready to give up when I upped the speed of the recording and changed my mind and finished the book. I did like the story besides the aboved mentioned.

If your expecting twilight then skip this. Oates is one of the best living writers today and would not sink to that level. A fine mixture of Princeton history and fiction. I hated to see it end.

Re telling Peter Pan on acid would be a good summary. The story is fine but the voices the narrator uses for Pan is annoying. Just the way he says PEEEETTTTEEERR over and over is enough to make some one driving crash head long into concrete wall.

While we sit around waiting for next Song of Fire and Ice book he is writing this. Hey fat boy Anne Rice called and wants her idea back. Come on Fire and Ice is bigger the Martin and he just snubs his nose at us and rips Anne Rice off. Yeah chubs, New Orleans vampires in the 19th century has been done before. Time for Martin to retire and give Fire and Ice to someone who will write it.

A great book of religion gone wrong. Shades of a mormon society on overdrive. Atwood has written several of these types of books. Although this isn't as good as Ox and crake and its sequel it still very good. Atwood is truely one of the top writers alive today but she is also insane. Just look up her website and read her nutty left wing agenda crap. So Im torn between the writing and the writer. If this woman owns more then four cats I think she may be the most dangerous person on the planet.

This is a mixed review. The story ranges from great to a how to make music. Not being real knowledgable about the rolling stones other then their music I came to this book with an open mind. I knew Mic Jagger and heard of Keith but I didn't know squat about them really. I dug Wild Horses and some of the music I had heard on the Radio but i wasn't a big fan. The story is well written and the tone is raw and gritty something I like. Problem is I dont like keith very well he spends most of the book blaming the police and government for his problems and it was his drug use that brought the heat on him. Its hard to feel for a guy who breaks the law dailey. Then there is his horrific parenting (which he blames on the laws pressure on him) which makes me really hate him. This guy is a whiner and on top of that a real ego manic who blames Jagger for very thing else. When you read between the lines any one can see that it is his jealousy and insecurity that causes the tension in the RS.
Anyway Depp does a great job reading as does the guy who reads most of the book in between Deeps passages. The problem is again Richards who reads the last hour or so. You can barely understand him as he rambles on about dogs, turtles, and crocs in mud puddles. The last hour, both the performance and story leaves me saying " What the hell?"
Anyway its well worth the credit to the layman and I'd bet a real Stones fan would love this.

Not really what I was hoping for in the end of the series. I guess I thought it would wrap up but no it just kind of goes on. Maybe the author planned to write more I think she was a drug addict or something, maybe not I thought I read that. Anyway if you got 5 credits to spend you could do a whole lot worse then spending them on Highsmiths " Tom Ripley series". Sad to see it be over.

Wow never read a foregin novel that captures a city and culture so well. I had saw the film some years back and it was passable but this book takes it miles beyond. Great characters that branch off and come back together. Maybe I little confusing listening if your not paying solid attention as the odd names seem to run together but a great book never the less. If you like character driven horror novels then slap this one in your collection.

Will Patton slow delivery is on the money as always. I love scenes about the south and imperfect characters. This book had me on edge. This is one made me squeal like a pig. Maybe not.

A story in a story in a story in the middle of a series after the ending had already been written. Make sense? It will when you read it.All and all it was alright on about par with the other Roland Baggo books.

King did a good job reading this book. I like his style he does well for an author. Frank Mueller was the best and would have nailed this book but he took a header off his bike on the black top. Shame a real loss to the auido book field.
