There's something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

This book was recommended to me from a friend, she really enjoyed it... But I didn't. I feel that the build up to the "climax" was extremely long, and when the climax finally came, it was a let down. I like the idea of the fallen angles, good vs. evil. I know this is in the YA category, but it is extremely young adult. If you are looking for a little more romance, and suspense, then I doubt this series is for you. I did also listen to the second book. And I think that if you had a hard time with finishing Fallen, then you will not enjoy Torment.

Now it’s getting a major face-lift from the Montgomery brothers and their eccentric mother. As the architect in the family, Beckett’s social life consists mostly of talking shop over pizza and beer. But there’s another project he’s got his eye on: the girl he’s been waiting to kiss since he was sixteen.

I really like the story of Mercy. She is a strong independent woman, and gets into trouble easily. She has two men in her life. Her ex (Sam) who she still loves, and the local Alpha (Adam), who she has been crushing on for years. Its a great love story, with lots of action! The rest of the books in the series are great too!

This is a great series! Its the type of story that reminds you of what your life at 16 was like, if you lived in a Vampire town. I think the narrator did a great job! The voices were believable, and fit the characters well! I will reccomend this to all of my friends!

Why we think it’s a great listen: Some books are meant to be read; others are meant to be heard – Water for Elephants falls into the second group, and is one of the best examples we have of how a powerful performance enhances a great story. Nonagenarian Jacob Jankowski reflects back on his wild and wondrous days with a circus. It's the Depression Era and Jacob, finding himself parentless and penniless, joins the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth.

This book was amazing!! I truly felt like I was right there, a part of the Circus! I wanted to read this before the movie came out, and I sure am glad that I did! It was hard to stop listening to it. The characters are so real. This is the type of "feel-good" story that you dont want to end.

If you are looking for a book with romance, some comedy, a little action/adventure, and a few tears; then this is definitely the book for you!

I really think I would have like this book if I would have read it, and not listened to the narrator. She is boring, and there was no excitement in her voice. And the parts where there should have been some intensity, and panic in her voice.. There was nothing but monotone phrases. I wont be listening to the rest of the series. Not worth the credit.

I had everything a woman could want... My husband, James. The house on the lake. My life. Our perfect life. And then Alex came to visit. The first time I saw my husband's best friend, I didn't like him. Didn't like how James changed when he was around, didn't like how his penetrating eyes followed me everywhere.

I bought this today, hoping that I could look past the lisp that others had described in their reviews. It is the worst narration I have heard. She has no difference in character voices, and the lisp is horrible. It is EXTREMELY disctracting, and actually makes me want to quit listening. To me, she sounds drunk. I do like most of NR's books, but this story is lacking. Dont waste your time or money.
