  • Say Goodbye

    • UNABRIDGED (13 hrs and 11 mins)
    • By Lisa Gardner
    • Narrated By Ann Marie Lee, Lincoln Hoppe

For Kimberly Quincy, FBI Special Agent, it all starts with a pregnant hooker. The story Delilah Rose tells Kimberly about her johns is too horrifying to be true; but prostitutes are disappearing, one by one, with no explanation, and no one but Kimberly seems to care.

KSK says: "Not for the faint of heart"
"Possibly the best book I have ever read."

This book made me cry so hard several times.
    Narration's exceptionally good.
In my humble opinion a masterpiece.

  • A Piece of Cake

    • UNABRIDGED (21 hrs and 8 mins)
    • By Cupcake Brown
    • Narrated By Bahni Turpin

There are shelves of memoirs about overcoming the death of a parent, childhood abuse, rape, drug addiction, miscarriage, alcoholism, hustling, gangbanging, near-death injuries, drug dealing, prostitution, or homelessness. Cupcake Brown survived all these things before she'd even turned 20.

Kim says: "Amazing , Brutal, Inspiring"

Imagine my disappointment when the book turned into religous propaganda at the last part.
I loved the book and Cupcake the first 14 hours (or thereabout), but then the last 7 hours she tried to convince me it was god who saved her.

Why would a person go through all this and at the end be thanking god? I truly do not understand it.

Would have gotten a five star all the way without the religious crap.

Audible: You need to let people know about the religious content in the description of the book. I'm an atheist, and I have wasted a LOT of money in here on books who turned out to be filled with god this and god that.

  • Die for Me: A Novel of the Valentine Killer

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 56 mins)
    • By Cynthia Eden
    • Narrated By Emily Beresford
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Katherine Cole thought her fiancé was the perfect man - until he turned out to be the perfect killer. He left his victims stabbed through the heart holding a telltale single red rose and was deemed the Valentine Killer. Three years ago he vanished. Now he’s back. And he’s hunting the one who got away. In New Orleans, Katherine dared to hope she was finally safe, yet somehow he found her. This time, Katherine won’t just sit silently by; she’ll do anything to stop the monster she once loved, even trust the sexy cop promising to keep her safe.…

    M. Davis says: "Good Plot - Dumb Heroine"

Sentences like this is typical for the book; "The house smelled like her. Fresh strawberries. Sweet. Heady." You know already from the first chapter what will happen between the two.

This book made me roll my eyes again and again. It's predictable and, in lack of a better word; childish.
