Jim Dale does a wonderful job bringing Jules Vern's characters to life off the page. Our family has listened to this telling of Around the World in 80 Days time and time again.
Enjoyed this series. If you have as well, then don't miss Yelena in Poison Study!
I also enjoyed INSIDE OUT, and OUTSIDE IN.
The author makes you feel connected with the characters. This book doesn't disappoint. I got to enter their lives once again as they struggle with their health and that there may still be a possible threat. Intense.
Unlike The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, I listened to this with all my kids and they just love Rob Inglis' narration of the cast of characters , he even shines in singing. Fell in love with Bilbo Baggins and had to listen again.
Rob Inglis brings the characters to life, and even manages to read the elvish tongues gracefully. One of my best listens!
My husband and I loved this one so much we gifted it to our friends to enjoy. Listening was like going on a retreat!
Great full cast. All our family members from six years old to 63 years old all enjoyed it, and couldn't wait to go for a long drive so we could listen to even more!
I have read this book by author Jennifer L. Holm. I enjoy her works. This performance of May Amelia does not disappoint. I would recommend this performance.
I have read this book, so I was expecting a great performance, and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed listening to the story as well as reading it. I have enjoyed sharing this story with my daughters and their grandmother.
Seven Wonders of Sassafras Springs was enjoyable for our whole family (6 year old, 8 year old, 12 year old, mom and dad.) The performance was great and the pace of the story was just right, it was like sitting in the room listening to a storyteller. This book inspired us to look around us for our own "wonders". I recommend this story for young and old.
Absolutely. In fact I have. The characters seem to come alive
This story has the unique women's perspective of history. I am currently enjoying women and girls perspective in "The Breadwinner". Also, the books of Esther and Ruth, in the Bible have interesting historical perspectives.
No, but these are stellar performances.
As the title is chosen by the characters brought to life in the book I would not change it.
I enjoyed The Help and the way of life for certain women at a certain time in history.
