"Tired plot line"
Overly stereotypical, nothing new here. Not realistic.
"A bit of brain candy"
Not much into Danielle Steel but this one was a decent listen. The setting was enjoyable.
"a delightful light hearted mystery"
Enjoyable, worth a listen. Although a 'dated' setting, the novel reads more contemporary. Not many slow parts that I can recall so easy to get through to the end.
"never boring"
Although somewhat predictable, the story flowed without any stale parts. The main character, Jack Reacher, is likable and a fun 'hero' type. One of the first novels in awhile I've been able to get through to the end. I'll definitely be listening to more of this series.
"Not as good as Gone Girl"
I might have liked this one more if I'd listened to it before Gone Girl. I was disappointed. Its title suits it well as it is a dark story and filled with a bizarre evil that I found to be depressing more than anything. It's still a well written story I just didn't find much to like about the characters.
"worth a listen if interested in this area"
a rather basic overview of the concepts of scientology but a good choice for someone who just wants to understand it a little better or for someone like me who has an interest in dozens of subjects
"good but not as good as the first one"
I'd still recommend this book but the first one was more insightful. I felt like some of the information in the 2nd book was 're-processed'
"finally a novel keeps my interest until the end"
Yes, actually i've already begun a second listen. I've rarely listen to a fiction book more than once but this one is that good
absolutely. great story, characters are well-developed, lots of plausible twists and turns
"a must read for everyone"
brilliant, necessary, interesting
the brain that changes itself because it has many of the core concepts found in neuroscience
"Some good information"
Although it had some valuable insights I didn't find too much that was groundbreaking or that I hadn't read somewhere else or known through some other means.
"worth a listen"
Since I'm a Tolle fan my opinion will be a bit biased as I feel all his books are worth a read/listen. I love his voice. He's soothing. It's like meditation.
