Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

What did you like best about this story?

This was a fast paced story that kept me interested and looking forward to the next listening session. I had listened to Divergent, the first in this series, and couldn't wait to listen to this one. I was not disappointed. An interesting storyline with imagination, yet not over the top. The story reminds me a little bit of Hunger Games, so if you like that series, you'll enjoy this one just as much. The reader did a nice job with voices as well and held my attention.

Fiver could sense danger. Something terrible was going to happen to the warren; he felt sure of it. They had to leave immediately. So begins a long and perilous journey of survival for a small band of rabbits. As the rabbits skirt danger at every turn, we become acquainted with the band, its humorous characters, and its compelling culture, complete with its own folk history and mythos.

Where does Watership Down rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

What a great story that made me feel young at heart. I was pulling for the rabbits every step of the way.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Hazel of course. What a courageous and unselfish hero.

If you could take any character from Watership Down out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I would take Hazel and Blackberry. Hazel obviously because he's the lead hero, but Blackberry is so smart and clever. I'd like to talk to both.

    Any additional comments?

Great story and performance. It was entertaining and made me care for the characters all the way.

Boy did I get confused by the title here. I thought this would be about digging up mummies, Egyptian artifacts and adventure. BOY WAS I WRONG. I bought it so I forced myself to listen to the whole thing...........a time frame I'll never get back in my life. It was such a bad story. What was this author thinking in writing this?????????????????????????????????????????

In 1989 Ken Follett astonished the literary world with The Pillars of the Earth, set in 12th-century England. Readers and listeners ever since have hoped for a sequel. At last, here it is. Although the two novels may be listened to in any order, World Without End also takes place in Kingsbridge, two centuries after the townspeople finished building their exquisite Gothic cathedral. The cathedral is again at the center of a web of love and hate, greed and pride, ambition and revenge.
