12.21 may not be the best book I've ever read, but the plot line was engaging and it held my attention through to the end. An enjoyable read.
I recently started working in a large company again. Reading this book has provided me with many laughs; some while reading and some while sitting in meetings remembering passages. I may get this for my VP as a holiday present.
I found the book entertaining enough to listen to multiple times!
This book came highly recommended, but I couldn't get into it. After listening to the first 2ish hours, having to rewind countless times to either clarify characters, or correct for a wandering mind, I gave up. The audio is bad (unlistenenable in Format 2, better in 3, but still muddy) and the accent and pace of the reader is distracting. I'll give it a shot in print, but regret purchasing this audiobook.
I bought this to bring me back up to speed on the Bourne series - I read it so long ago - so I figured an abridged version would be OK. Man is this version awful. Jerky plotlines, poor reading, I hate the music in the background - sounds like a cheesy movie.
Don't waste your time. Buy the book instead. I'm going back to unabridged-only purchases.
