This is a love story. If you do not want to read a love story this is definite not for you. I got it as a gift, and (wrongly) assumed that the giver had found a good book for me, therefore i did not quit the book in mid part 1. Part 1 is terrible, it is love love love, it's like you have stumbled in to the world of girls teen magazines.
In the second part (which I thought was the final part) the book picks up. For a while it feels like this is a thriller and not a lovestory. But all to soon it falls back into being a love story.
What was I thinking as I listened to this book:
Part 1 - Terrible, awfully boring
Part 2 - This is not bad, if it keeps this up it might actually be a decent book.
Part 3 - Shouldn't this have ended by now?
One note about the presentation and the way things are written. The autor has many good ways of putting things, and create some concepts that are fascinating like the dancing monkey. However the storyline kills the book.
This book was so uninspiring that I was unable to get through it. Maybe one very boring day I will try to get to the end of it, but untill then this was a disappointment and not worth 1 credit.
Hardly anything happens in this book. Almost all the plot has to do with one or another love story. To make it even more frustrating the female characters are unbelievable naive.
This book was a disappointment after the great start of the series.
Also the narrater should have listened to the first book and kept similar pronunciation of names as the first narrator. Very confusing when a city and people "change" name from on book to the next.
This book introduce new elements and expand on the world in this fantastic setting. It has a lot of new setting material, fascinating characters and a good story.
This is another great book from Sanderson. Like all of his books it has a twist on magic and religion that is fascinating. The book is well written, and the story exciting. There is just one flaw, there is no sequel :( The book left me wanting more! The best kind of book :)
A fantastic fantasy book. I wish this was the beginning of a series. It contains a set of very interesting and fascinating characters.
This book is something you can listen too and immediately try to apply to your own life. It gives many good examples of negotiation situations and things to be aware of.
The book is divided into many chapters making it ideal if you only have 10 minutes to listen too it every day.
Sanderson introduces yet a new setting with a facinating look at Gods and magic. I just love it!
Great story, too bad there is not a sequel.
If you like Game of Throne, or Robert Jordan you will love this book.
