Broken is evocative and deep and disturbing and yet, it's uplifting too. Megan Hart knows how to create compelling characters. Sadie the main character of the story has such emotional depth to her, throughout the book you're there with her in her journey.

Broken is erotic, yes. The sex is integral to the story as a vehicle for Sadie's mental escape and also as a glimpse into Joe. The story is in first person but I really felt I knew Joe and his insecurities as he told his stories.The moments between Sadie and Adam are heartwrenchingly beautiful and skillfully done and the connection between Joe and Sadie is powerful as well.

Broken is a complex book. It's not easy. But it's worth it. Broken is, without question, an amazing book and I truly hope it gets the attention it deserves.It's mindblowing.

Megan is a skilled writer. The story is marvelous and she tells it perfectly. I'm a huge fan!

Poison Princess is a tale that completely captured my heart and soul. Capturing me from as soon as the prologue began... it kept me tangled in a frenzied web of wanting more and more. Even as I neared the last pages of the book I never wanted it to end. I needed to (and still need to) know more and I'd gladly devour another thousand pages of Evie, Jackson and The Arcana Chronicles.

The Arcana Chronicles proves to be a series that will take you on a wild ride with no limits and absolutely no hint of predictability. Poison Princess is brilliantly written from the plot, style, and cast of characters.

The array of characters who fill this novel are hard, compassionate, fierce, sneaky, but ultimately believable. Evie is plagued with hallucinations and terrible nightmares that leave her with a misconstrued view of reality. When her mind-boggling visions of the world's end comes true, as depicted in her drawings, Evie has to find a way to use her mysterious powers to survive. In the meantime, the smoking hot, bad-boy Cajun, Jack, comes around to protect her, even though he may not want to. Their differences and prejudices keep them apart for a good part of the novel, yet their toing-and-froing is tantalizing and definitely entertaining! I fell in love with Jackson Deveaux. I love the Cajun French.

I wish this book was a thousand page longer cause I could not put it down and I was so into the story. I highly recommend this book. The narrators are amazing in this book. Emma Galvin your narration was impecable. Kresley Cole you have done it again! I can't wait for the next book in the series.

This was my first time reading Megan Hart and WOW I am a fan!

Dirty is not a light read. It has depth to it and it retains a very erotic edge.

Elle repressed heroine with no color in her wardrobe, no joy in her life. A typical background for such a woman. A hero destined to drag her out of her bleak existence. You've seen it all before, right? Not even close.

Elle is one of the most complex, real characters I've ever read. She diverges from stereotype in unique ways, and resolution is not only difficult to find, it's as complex as the character. At the end of the book you know she still has a lot of work to do...but the most important element of any book for me, hope, is there in spades.

This book isn't a romance, per se, because the focus is on more than the male/female relationship. But it's also the epitome of romance because it's about falling in love and doing the hard work such a fall requires.

This book really had an impressive storyline and I felt like I was on Elle life roller coaster seeing all the up and downs. Megan Hart you have impressed me.

If you're looking for a book similar To Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James then BARED TO YOU is THE BOOK! But It's even better then Fifty Shades.

The story is very well written, fast pace , and HOT HOT HOT!

How can two dysfunctional individuals make a relationship work? Gideon and Eva's relationship is emotional, intense and complicated. They're obsessed, possessive and jealous of each other. Put all that together and the sex is explosive, their love is sweetly intoxicating, their relationship at times is stormy but when they're happy it's beautiful.

This book was an intense roller coaster of emotion. I was dying with anticipation waiting for the 2nd book to come out. I love Gideon and Eva's story.

When I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down...the characters I fell in love with and was so happy it all worked out in the end. I was taken by this book from the start. I loved the main character, Alexa, right away. Strong, independent, fiercely loyal, and passionate about life, Alexa made me eager to know how the story would end for her. But still, female leads don't usually grab me that way, but she did and that made the book such a joy to read.

Nick Ryan. What can I say about him. He was sexy, annoying and difficult. I loved him. Besides the fact that he was a billionaire, he was driven and determined, two very sexy traits in a man.

The fact that these two individuals made a deal to get married for reasons other than love was not the fun part. The fact that they were childhood friends that hadn't seen each other in years, was. They had history, so the complications were many and entertaining.

There were no characters that I disliked. I liked Maggie, Alexa's best friend and Nick's sister, and I even thought Alexa's overly loving family was darling. I loved how the author made it perfectly clear that Alexa and Nick's vastly different family lives were what had shaped them to be the people they were. The contrast worked and its what made the sparks fly. There are some funny hilarious moments in the books that I laughed out loud at times.

Coleen Marlo did a great job narrating this audiobook. I really love the voices she uses for the characters and she brought the characters and the story to life. I definitely would listen to other books that she narrates.

I have been waiting for Lothaire's story & was so excited that I was not let down. I wanted certain things & had ideas about how the story line should go. Lothaire has been one of my favorite characters from the IAD series (as well as Nix) through the entire series & I have just been dying to get his full story. While it was not what I had expected or really even predicted the story was fabulous and while it was heartbreaking at times, it was the same laugh out loud Kresley Cole that I love! I am a huge fan of her work and I can't wait for Nix's story.

Lothaire has been in all the previous books in the series, this time the love story is epic because it ends up redeeming a character that was thought to be irredeemable. The almost insane vampire falls head over fangs for a woman possessed. One thing that surprised me the most was how romantic and sweet Lothaire ended up being, Despite the blood thirsty nature of Lothaire and the initial villain, Soroya, the book wasn't nearly as dark and depressing as it could have been. In fact, it was full of warped humor, funny dialogue between Lothaire and Elizabeth and amazing loving, once they got to that point.

The story is told in Lothaire's point of view and Elizabeth's. My favorite is the hero's because finally I got to understand what formed him, drove him, warped him and tortured him. The relationship between Lothaire and Elizabeth is contentious. She likes to talk, he doesn't. She wants to understand, he doesn't feel the need to explain himself. He commands, she butts heads. He expects her to turn her back on her past, and she fights to keep it and grab for more. There is so much internal angst and yet the author handled it so well, it was entertaining and fascinating. I especially got a kick out of the scenes with the sword, the head, the heart and the finger and the ornery dog. How they make this story great has to be read to be understood. It was awesome. I was equally horrified and snorting with shocked humor. Ms. Cole's characters sure know how to make a statement.

All in all... perfect audiobook & the perfectly imperfect hero.

Robert Petkoff gives an amazing performance for this book and the rest of the IAD series books. His performance is so outstanding that I feel like I'm watching a movie in my head. I want to read anything that Robert Petkoff narrators. He makes the story so exciting that I feel like I'm on the edge of my seat for the whole book. As much as I'm a fan of Kresley Cole i'm also a huge fan of the narration. BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO!

This was a brilliant conclusion to the trilogy.

For the first two books, I think most of us readers have all been laboring under the assumption that Katniss Everdeen would eventually choose one of the two terrific men in her life: Gale, her childhood companion or Peeta, the one who accompanied her to the Hunger Games twice. She'd pick one of them and live happily ever after with him, surrounded by friends and family. Somehow, along the way, Katniss would get rid of the awful President Snow and stop the evil Hunger Games. How one teenage girl would do all that, we weren't too sure, but we all had faith and hope that she would.

"Mockingjay" relentlessly strips aside those feelings of faith and hope - much as District 13 must have done to Katniss. Katniss realizes that she is just as much a pawn for District 13 as she ever was for the Colony and that evil can exist in places outside of the Colony.

And that's when the reader realizes that this will be a very different journey. And that maybe the first two books were a setup for a very different ride. That, at its heart, this wasn't a story about Katniss making her romantic decisions set against a backdrop of war.

This is a story of war. And what it means to be a volunteer and yet still be a pawn. We have an entirely volunteer military now that is spread entirely too thin for the tasks we ask of it. The burden we place upon it is great. And at the end of the day, when the personal war is over for each of them, each is left alone to pick up the pieces as best he/she can.

For some, like Peeta, it means hanging onto the back of a chair until the voices in his head stop and he's safe to be around again. Each copes in the best way he can. We ask - no, demand - incredible things of our men and women in arms, and then relegate them to the sidelines afterwards because we don't want to be reminded of the things they did in battle. What do you do with people who are trained to kill when they come back home? And what if there's no real home to come back to - if, heaven forbid, the war is fought in your own home? We need our soldiers when we need them, but they make us uncomfortable when the fighting stops.

All of that is bigger than a love story - than Peeta or Gale. And yet, Katniss' war does come to an end. And she does have to pick up the pieces of her life and figure out where to go at the end. So she does make a choice. But compared to the tragedy of everything that comes before it, it doesn't seem "enough". And I think that's the point. That once you've been to hell and lost so much, your life will never be the same. Katniss will never be the same. For a large part of this book, we see Katniss acting in a way that we can only see as being combat-stress or PTSD-related - running and hiding in closets. This isn't our Katniss, this isn't our warrior girl.

But this is what makes it so much more realistic, I think. Some may see this as a failing in plot - that Katniss is suddenly acting out of character. But as someone who has been around very strong soldiers returning home from deployments, this story, more than the other two, made Katniss come alive for me in a much more believable way.

I realize many out there will hate the epilogue and find it trite. At first, I did too. But in retrospect, it really was perfect. Katniss gave her life already - back when she volunteered for Prim in "The Hunger Games". It's just that she actually physically kept living.

A Hunger Like No Other surprised me! Kresley Cole's created a magical world. The reader is taken on a wild, hot ride with sensual and laugh-out-loud funny scenes.The story the best of paranormal romance. Lachlain and Emmaline hooked me from page one. Filled with vampires, lycans, witches, valkyries and wraiths, you never know what's coming from one page to the next. I can't wait to read the next installment from Kresley Cole in what I am sure will be a must-read series. This book made me a Fan!

I have loved reading the Fifty Shades trilogy and this is my favorite book in the series. I enjoyed Becca Battoe's narration.In this second book of the Fifty Shades Trilogy, the romance continues between Christian and Ana from Ana's point of view... and what a busy POV it is!

The relationship between Ana and Christian is just so good. Their frank and open communication is fantastic and their story is not only totally engaging, but downright addicting! Christian (aka, Fifty) is one of the most memorable, delicious characters I have ever read. His voice is unique and clear and mesmerizing, yet he is revealed entirely through Ana's experiences and perception of him. For both Christian and Ana, everything they think they know about their lives gets tilted at odd angles and makes their growing relationship feel like a thrill ride. All the usual suspects return to keep the "action" going (with at least 3 different mini-plots), and, of course, there is the continuing fallout from Christian's severe childhood (and possible adolescent) trauma. Issues of independence, trust, acceptance, submission and, most importantly, unconditional love are all in play. Despite the intensity and conflict the tone remains witty and playful and romantic.

Readers complain about Ana a bit and, I must say, she took me out of my comfort zone at times. I think she's bolder than I would be in her constant questioning of Christian. But I tend not to like confrontation, so it's likely just me. But those who hate misunderstandings will appreciate that no stone goes unturned between these two '. It is refreshing to read about people who are completely guileless with one another. Ana can also come across a bit schizophrenic when her thinking swings from "I want this", to "I don't want this" to "do I want this"? However, this tension feels true to life. Her choices were not easy (too many shades of grey!). Overall, I really like Ana and I certainly enjoyed having a front row seat to her busy inner world.
