Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes if they enjoyed YA beach reads.

What other book might you compare Spoiled to and why?

The closest thing I can think of is a movie...which this book also references. Mean girls with a Cinderella like twist. Maybe the "Oh My GODS" series without the supernatural aspect.

Have you listened to any of Kathleen McInerney’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't but she did a great job.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The fact that the girls really have no parents and figure out they need each other should be moving; and I guess it is to a point but the book is meant to be tongue in cheek funny and light so nothing is too moving.

    Any additional comments?

A fun read leaving a possibility for a sequel. I hope they do one.

Suddenly, that medallion is the only thing protecting Kate from blinking out of existence. Kate learns that the 1893 killing is part of something much more sinister, and her genetic ability to time travel makes Kate the only one who can fix the future.

If you could sum up Timebound in three words, what would they be?

Great new fantasy with a twist! (Sorry that's more than 3 words...)

What was one of the most memorable moments of Timebound?

When Kate is interacting with an 8 year old Kiernan. Really sweet, charming, and not creepy at all. Great set up for their relationship. Very different.

Have you listened to any of Kate Rudd’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I haven't. But she did a great job.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Again, I have to say, when Kate is interacting with an 8 year old Kiernan. Just so endearing.

    Any additional comments?

I usually don't like "sci-fi" I'm more of a paranormal fantasy girl. However I'm a sucker for time travel stories as long as there is romance and don't overwhelm me with futuristic robot over-kill. This is the perfect blend. Yeah, there is a lot of futuristic technology, but it is more fun. If this is Rysa Walker's first book, excellent job!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! Every book taking us further in this series just keeps getting better! I was hesitant thinking this is were a series seems to start to feel like it is dragging but the reviews I read were correct. It was awesome! Can't wait for book 5!

What about Emily Shaffer’s performance did you like?

I miss the original voice of Adrian...it was so perfect for his character. It is odd to hear him talk in this other voice, with no accent. But other than that Emily Shaffer did a very good job.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Definitely!

    Any additional comments?

This book flips back and forth from Sidney to Adrian telling the story with each chapter, but it flowed very well.

Turned into a vampire against her will, 28-year-old Merit found her way into the dark circle of Chicago's vampire underground, where she learned there was more to supernaturals than met the eye - and more supernaturals than the public ever imagined. And not all the secrets she learned were for sharing - among humans or inhumans. Now Merit is on the hunt, charging across the stark American Midwest, tailing a rogue supernatural intent on stealing an ancient artifact that could unleash catastrophic evil on the world. But Merit is also the prey.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would definitely recommend the series up until this book. The narration change has completely ruined what has been one of my favorite series in years. Cynthia Holloway was not just truly amazing as Merit, but every single character was uniquely brought to life by her. I was dying for this release and now am struggling to even finish because it just isn't there. I 'm very sad.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Haven't even got there because I am struggling to get into it. I am about halfway through but the story up until now seems like the same old problems with just a few new details changed. Everyone is mad at and blaming the vampires - same. The sorcerers are vague and misunderstood - same. The shifters are sticking there neck out to help - same. Ethan and Merit are on again off again - same. The GP is interfering and unhappy - same. Then you take away the spark that made it alive (Cynthia Holloway) and it just seems redundant and slow. Maybe it will get better...I just miss Merit!

Would you listen to another book narrated by Sophie Eastlake?

I feel bad for obsessing about the narrator change because this narrator was not bad by any means...she just isn't even remotely this/these characters. Cynthia Holloway's sarcastic bite, wit and characters' voices made this series. It's almost like a different series all together. Five books tends to get you very used to people especially when done with so much brilliance. She made them come alive. I think the new narrator is not to blame and I would listen to her again. It was just devestating to this book.

Do you think Biting Cold needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Not without Cynthia Holloway 's narration. This makes me question whether I would have even liked the books as much reading them rather than listening if I am this affected by her abscense.

Zoey is finally home where she belongs, safe with her Guardian Warrior, Stark, by her side, and preparing to face off against Neferet - which would be a whole lot easier if the High Counsel saw the ex-High Priestess for what she really is. Kalona has released his hold on Rephaim, and, through Nyx's gift of a human form, Rephaim and Stevie Rae are finally able to be together - if he can truly walk the path of the Goddess and stay free of his father's shadow.

Would you try another book from P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast and/or Caitlin Davies?

Maybe. If they were as good as the first three in this series started. I guess the Casts should have quit while they were ahead.

What do you think your next listen will be?

The next Parasol Protectorate book due out later this month. I can't wait!

Would you listen to another book narrated by Caitlin Davies?

Sure I has no problem with her narration.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Definite disappointment. I continue out of hope that the books might improve. I don't know if I will keep on though.

This story has a very different twist on the whole "Immortal" thing. It is actually a beautifully told story that has everything: love, history, magic, self growth and maturity... Very refreshing. Nasty is hillarious and heart breaking at the same time. I can't wait for the sequel!

Bayport High's Varsity cheer squad is made up of the hottest of the hot. But this A-list is dangerous in more ways than one. The Squad is actually a cover for the most highly trained group of underage government operatives the United States has ever assembled. They have the perfect cover, because, beyond herkeys and highlights, no one expects anything from a cheerleader.

Is it ground breaking literature? Of course not. But is it a light, fun, and entertaining twist on the dork turns popular story? Yes! And the narrator is one of my favorites; and perfect for the main character Tobi. Amanda Ronconi, who also narrated all of Molly Harper's "Dead Girls Don't..." series is awesome. Hillarious mixture of southern drawl and biting, superior, sarcasm. Again fun light escape if you need a break from the heavy and/or like this sort of thing. Great for the YA crowd of all ages.
