Eve Dallas is a New York police lieutenant hunting for a ruthless killer. In over 10 years on the force, she's seen it all - and knows that her survival depends on her instincts. And she's going against every warning telling her not to get involved with Roarke, an Irish billionaire - and suspect in Eve's murder investigation. But passion and seduction have rules of their own, and it's up to Eve to take a chance in the arms of a man she knows nothing about - except the addictive hunger of needing his touch.

Boy, I wish I had read the reviews!! I had listened/read other books by this author that I liked, so picked some of his books for my wishlist. What a complete waste of time and money!!! grrrrrr I really wish they had some sort of rating or warning for these books, especially since you can't "thumb through" the pages, and the short sample isn't gonna include the worst language/scenes.

There was so much profanity, crudeness and vulgarity throughout, I couldn't even ff through it enough to find a suitable part.

Nameless wasn't supposed to come into the office on Mondays; he wasn't supposed to answer the phone. On this Monday, he did both. The call was from Barney Rivera - once a friend, now despised - at Great Western Insurance. Against his better judgment, Nameless agreed to meet with him.

The investigation was relatively simple: a multimillionaire rare books collector had reported the theft of eight volumes, worth a half million dollars. From a locked library. To which he has the only key.

BORING! I guess you get what you pay for, and audio books are no exception. I had read (listened to) another "Nameless Detective" book which was pretty good, so I expected this to be up there as well. No such luck. I have even tried to fast forward, hoping to get to the "good part," but finally gave up.

I would also warn about getting the BBC audio version of another in the series, "Hardcase" as the narrator whispers for several of the characters's voices and the volume changes throughout the entire book. Very annoying and disruptive to the flow of the story line. (Which in a printed form would be pretty worth checking out of your library).
