On a hot July afternoon, a worker at an Antietam Creek construction site drives the blade of his backhoe into a layer of soil - and strikes a 5,000-year-old human skull. The discovery draws plenty of attention and a lot of controversy. It also changes the life of one woman in ways she never expected.

I have never felt so irritated when listening to a novel. Just read the story. Every character sounded like a moron. I gave up by Chapter 3 and went to Copperfields and bought the book which I thourougly enjoyed.

In 1965, the dogged Lieutenant Carmine Delmonico is assigned to solve what appears to be a single murder. Part of a young woman's body has turned up at one of the world's leading neurological research centers, but it's not long before Delmonico realizes he's hunting a serial killer. All the center's members are hiding secrets Delmonico must unearth: What does Professor Robert Smith do in his basement? Why doesn't Dr. Walter Polonski's wife know about his cabin in the woods?

Talk about hot and cold, nauseous to hungry for more. It was great! I am disappointed that there aren't more selections to choose from by C. McCullough. Come on Audible get recording!

Perched on a hill overlooking San Francisco, the house was magnificent, built in 1923 by a wealthy man for the woman he adored. For her and for this house, he would spare no expense and overlook no detail, from the endless marble floors to the glittering chandeliers. Almost a century later, with the once-grand house now in disrepair, a young woman walks through its empty rooms. Sarah Anderson, a perfectly sensible estate lawyer, is about to do something utterly out of character.

The book was expected to be entertaining and was greatly enjoyed. The reading~ did not interfer with the writing as the last book I listened to did.
