Based on extensive insider interviews and participation, acclaimed author Ben Mezrich's Straight Flush tells the captivating rags-to-riches tale of a group of University of Montana frat brothers who turned a weekly poker game in the basement of a local dive bar into AbsolutePoker.com, one of the largest online companies in the world. But then the U.S. Department of Justice placed a bull's-eye on Absolute Poker. Did they fold - or double down and ride their hot hand?

What didn’t you like about Sean Pratt’s performance?

There were moments where he seemed to be channeling William Shatner.

    Any additional comments?

If you liked the movie "Runner Runner" one of the storylines woven into it was Absolute Poker story that is told in more detail (and with less dramatic license) in Straight Flush.

Her home shop stood like a bright dwarf among dead giants and burned rubble at the western end of the old strip. The old ones, Harvey's and Caesar's and Harrah's, had been built for a bigger tourist trade. They'd been built for a massive power grid, too. Those still standing were dark, left to crumble, the casinos closed. She wished she could either get them up and running again or just tear the damned things down like they'd tried to do in Vegas before they ran out of workers.

Would you try another book from Lee Singer and/or Janean Jorgensen?

    maybe

    Any additional comments?

I did not realize this was going to be a silly sci-fi tale with laser guns. I had to double check that I was listening to the right book a few times.

Would you try another book from Jared Tendler and Barry Carter and/or Jared Tendler?

    no

What could Jared Tendler and Barry Carter have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

It would have been great if there had been actual content in this book instead of the constant endorsements by former students.

    Any additional comments?

The book is not a total waste, but it does not bring anything new to the table. The constant client endorsements made it more of and advertisement for his services instead of a book that could stand on its own.
