i gave up on this after 5 hours. the narrator is SO boring. I just could not get into the story because of her dull, monotonous delivery. very cross, as another wasted credit. Audible. why can you not make samples LONGER?

When you have to kill the same terrorist twice in one week there’s either something wrong with your world or something wrong with your skills - and there’s nothing wrong with Joe Ledger’s skills. And that’s both a good and a bad thing. It’s good because he’s a Baltimore detective who has just been secretly recruited by the government to lead a new task force created to deal with the problems that Homeland Security can’t handle....

Great story, generally good narration. I really enjoyed this, zombies meet '24'. BUT, Mr Porter, please get a voice coach for the English accent!!! It was absolutely terrible. Wrong vowel sounds, wrong stress and emphasis. That 'London' accent comes from the moon, or mars or somewhere, but not London!!!

It kept pulling me out of the story and I almost didn't get the second book because of this. However, the other characters were great, the story ripped along and apart from Major Grace, the narration was very good.

“I didn’t do it!” is something cops hear all the time. But when the plea comes from a close friend who’s fallen on hard times, it’s tougher to ignore, especially for young Officer Danny Boyle. It’s the start of another action-packed summer for the wisecracking Boyle and straight-arrow cop (now chief of detectives) John Ceepak down the Jersey Shore as they do their best to help Danny’s friend, a young nurse who claims she has been falsely accused of aggravated assault by a prestigious Sea Haven doctor.

A wonderful listen. Jeff Woodman should win an award. He is I think, the best narrator on Audible. His different voices are perfect and he gets male and female spot on. Unbelievably good narration.

The story was great too. I always enjoy this author and he is the only person I will download without bothering to listen to a sample.

Keep them coming. A brilliant, wonderful combination of author and narrator. Well done.

Michael McLaren is Hollywood's proctologist to the stars. In Tinseltown, there's no shortage of famous people who need things discreetly removed from their sphincters - or who want things shoved up there. Either way, business is good. But when he discovers that demons dwell in the darkest crevices of existence, he's unwittingly initiated into a secret society of demon hunters...The Psycho Proctologists.

i loved this book. it was rude, totally infantile and very naughty. it made me feel like a mischievous child again.

i love anything with demons. this was a new, very silly, but fun angle.

if you are easily offended or don't have a scatalogical sense of humour, don't buy it. you have been warned!

I came to this after listening to all the other Reacher books, as i had become accustomed to Dick Hill. OK, Reacher sounds different, but I cannot understand the criticism. I thought it was excellently narrated and the voices were good (at least to my British ears).

The story was really compelling and I finished it in two days. Overall a very good listen.

A great re-imagining of the zombie story, set in a technologically advanced future. Very good, but a few loose ends. It would make a great film.

However the narration is unbelievably bad. It sounds like a female Stephen Hawkins, that is mechanical and strange with odd pausing, stress and pronunciation. I almost gave up. I dont think I have heard anything quite so bad. Nevertheless I am glad I stuck with the story. Hopefully there will be a sequel (read by a different person, please god!)

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Very good story. Well read, although the style and translation take some getting used to. Definitely listen to the first two books before this one. The middle one was a bit of a dip in form, but this one is excellent. Eagerly looking forward to the next instalment,

What if a reality TV show like Jersey Shore set up production in the fictional seaside resort Sea Haven? What if hitting the gym, tanning, and doing a little laundry aren't the only things the contestants get into? By-the-book officer John Ceepak and his wisecracking young partner, Danny Boyle, have to babysit the buff and boozy kids partying it up in a Jersey shore rental house for TV’s summertime hit Fun House while simultaneously trying to stop the rowdy kids from breaking the law up and down the beach. But even Ceepak and Danny can’t stop one young cast member from being murdered—and others from being threatened with the same fate.

When they find that Kaldy is a werewolf, the Nazis bring in a beautiful young chemist and an aging doctor turned minister to aid in a daring, crazy plan. As the Dr. attempts to regress Kaldy through hypnotism to the root of his curse, the Nazis strive to isolate the enzyme that can turn an army of their troops into an unstoppable killing machine.

A great listen. Very difficult at times. Some of story is set in concentration camps where medical experiments are carried out. This is very harrowing, so be prepared, especially I would imagine, if any of your family members experienced this time first-hand. The overall story though is excellent, well-thought out and beautifully read.

One of my best listens in over 5 years and with nearly 500 audiobooks under my belt. Cant wait for more from this talented and imaginative author and pls, whoever, keep the same narrator!
