This absolutely sparkles with wit and fun. This is the pinnacle of author-narrator collaboration, and a title you'll enjoy listening to more than once.
This is my favorite detective series; the writing is superb and the narrator is perfect. This is currently the only one available on Audible, however, and although the book can stand on its own as a complete story, it is a richer experience to listen to them in chronological order. Assuming Audible will make the rest of the series available soon, the order is: Beekeeper's Apprentice, O Jerusalem, Monstrous Regiment of Women, A Book of Mary, The Moor, and Justice Hall last. (This is not the order in which they were written, but the order in which they take place.)
This is from a fun series of books, made unlistenable by bad narration. These books feature a British heroine, but are narrated in an American accent. Unforgivable.
This is a really fun series and I was so excited to see that Audible was beginning to carry it. However, this version has a vastly inferior narrator that will detract from the pleasure of the book for anyone who has already listened to the best. The author must have sold the rights to Blackstone early in her career before she could afford to be choosy about who would narrate. It will be worth your while to seek out this other narrator.
