I love Clancy books, but this Narrator is too robotic. Doesn't even sound human to me.
I was hoping to have something a little more engaging, but the narrator is downright robotic. Self help books and summaries should have some feeling behind them.
Maybe, we'll see how I feel next time I want a summary.
Very robotic. No feeling in it.
Honestly, I listened to maybe 5 minutes of it. Couldn't even take the rest.
I read all of the reacher books, but this one's logic didn't all tie together and it was honestly just a little out there.
Consistent, Good, Strong
This book was more investigative and less violent until the very end. Not sure I followed the author at some points, but still a good read.
Dick Hill is the voice of Reacher to me. I can't imagine anyone else narrating Lee Child's books.
A little bummed about the Jack Reacher movie, though, Tom Cruise is short and pretty. Reacher is a big guy. I can't watch the movie until I finish all the books or it may ruin my experience.
Yes, I enjoy the Jack Reacher series.
I always like it when Reacher makes everything right. I won't give away the detail, but the end of the book is the best.
Nice suspense novel set in another decade.
Narrator was excellent and kept you drawn in to the story.
No, this is my first.
Gripping, shocking, electric
I had to finish it, even though I was horrified by the way the crimes were committed.
He's not my favorite narrator. His take on women's voices is irritating. Would like to have a female narrator, but he did well enough that I enjoyed the book.
Can't wait to read more Tess Gerritson.
Yes I recommend, I enjoyed the energy of the narrator. His narratives describing the theories were excellent.
I have not listened to this narrator before, but will listen again.
This one kept me guessing the entire book and I actually got teary eyed at the end. Very suspenseful.
I was actually crying at several points in this book. I like Vince Flynn, and this one took a turn I didn't expect.
This book is wraught with anger and makes the reader feel a little uncomfortable. I guess exploring the aftermath of practically being killed would result in some discomfort, but it was harder for me to read than the other Scarpetta books. I'll definitely continue the Scarpetta journey, but don't recommend this for a first time reader of Cornwell.
