This book is wraught with anger and makes the reader feel a little uncomfortable. I guess exploring the aftermath of practically being killed would result in some discomfort, but it was harder for me to read than the other Scarpetta books. I'll definitely continue the Scarpetta journey, but don't recommend this for a first time reader of Cornwell.

This book was more investigative and less violent until the very end. Not sure I followed the author at some points, but still a good read.

Dick Hill is the voice of Reacher to me. I can't imagine anyone else narrating Lee Child's books.

A little bummed about the Jack Reacher movie, though, Tom Cruise is short and pretty. Reacher is a big guy. I can't watch the movie until I finish all the books or it may ruin my experience.

He's not my favorite narrator. His take on women's voices is irritating. Would like to have a female narrator, but he did well enough that I enjoyed the book.

I was actually crying at several points in this book. I like Vince Flynn, and this one took a turn I didn't expect.

I love Clancy books, but this Narrator is too robotic. Doesn't even sound human to me.

I like Kathy Reichs and all of her books. If you are the same you will enjoy this book as well.
