There are at least 68 million dogs in America, and their owners lavish billions of dollars on them every year. So why do so many pampered pets have problems? In this definitive and accessible guide, Cesar Millan, star of National Geographic Channel's hit show Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan, reveals what dogs truly need to live a happy and fulfilled life.

    "Great Read for Open Minded"
    Overall

This is a great book for people who are interested in having a well behaved and much loved pet. It is not the conventional dog training book, and if you want his approach to work, you must be opened minded, you must believe in yourself, your dog, and your ability to have a dog that is well behaved.
Having loved and owned dogs for years, I have accidently employed some of his ideas, like excersise. My dogs alwasys listen better after a 5 mile run. And if you don't have the time in the day to run 5 miles with your dogs, then he gives you other ideas on how to excersise your dog.

I loved his approach and I am using it on my two dogs, but, like anything else, it is not a quick fix, you must be willing to do the homework.

This book is not for someone who is looking to "fix" their dog, that won't happen, he can fix you and your behavior toward your dog, and that will fix any other problems you might be having.
    For dog lovers only!!

Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

If you LOVE dogs, and they are a part of your daily life, then it is a must read. In fact,I want one of these dogs. Be prepared, this is not a fairy tale, but a good solid book, well worth the time.

In 1989, a shipment of 100 monkeys arrived at a biomedical supply company in Reston, Virginia. There, in a small complex across from a McDonald's and a playground, the animals began to get sick. Their intestines turned to the consistency of gumbo. One by one they died a grisly and horrible death. Too late, the custodians realized the culprit was Ebola, one of the deadliest of all known viruses. The Hot Zone reads like the finest fiction but is actually a true story.

    "Great Informative Book"
    Overall

It is a very very great read, I couldn't put it down. It really makes you think. What are we doing to our earth and its creatures. It also makes you realize, that if we don't start to be very careful and sensitive to our surroundings, that we may one day join the Do-Do Bird. It also makes you think that maybe the earth can take care of itself,,,,,but that may be the end of us.

This book is for people who like to watch the Discovery, National Geographic and History channels on TV.

Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six. They were married when Clare was twenty-three and Henry was thirty-one. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future.

    "Very Unique"
    Overall

This was very interesting story, different from anything else I have read in a long time. It is almost like a science fiction, but not quite.

It is confusing, so pay attention.

The charactures are very real and very likable. When I finished the book, I was kind of sad, I missed my friends.

The only thing I would do differently is get the unabridged version, I didn't realize I purchased the abridged version.

Get ready to take a different trip with this book!

John and Jenny were just beginning their life together. They were young and in love, with a perfect little house and not a care in the world. Then they brought home Marley, a wriggly yellow furball of a puppy. Life would never be the same.

I laughed and I cried all the way through this wonderful book. It keeps you entertained from the first sentance, and I was praying it would never end.

There have been several comments about the authors voice, and it is not annoying or distracting, it is just as it should be.

This is a book for all dog and animal lovers everywhere, so what are you waiting for, download it onto your ipod and begin enjoying a great story!!

Jimmy Tock comes into the world on the very night his grandfather leaves it. As a violent storm rages outside the hospital, Rudy Tock spends long hours walking the corridors between the expectant fathers' waiting room and his dying father's bedside. It's a strange vigil made all the stranger when, at the very height of the storm's fury, Josef Tock suddenly sits up in bed and speaks coherently for the first and last time since his stroke.

This is a really great "listen", I always enjoy most of his books, but, this one goes to the top of my list. When I listen to a really good book, I feel like I have met new friends, and I am always a little sad when the book ends. This book falls into that catagory.

If you like Dean Koontz, you will love this one!
