The four dead guards didn’t concern Mitch Rapp as much as the absence of the man they’d been paid to protect. Joe Rickman wasn’t just another foot soldier. For the last eight years Rickman had ran the CIA’s clandestine operations in Afghanistan. It was a murky job that involved working with virtually every disreputable figure in the Islamic Republic. More than a quarter billion dollars in cash had passed through Rickman’s hands during his tenure as the master of black ops and no one with a shred of sense wanted to know the details of how that money had been spent.

    Scott C. says: "Couldn't be better...except"
"An excellent story and extremely well read."

As always, Vince Flynn adds that extra thrill to the plot. I have listened to many of his books and always look forward to a gripping story and a great climax. Keep up the good work Vince.

Back on the job after an involuntary leave of absence, LAPD homicide detective Harry Bosch is ready for a challenge. But his first case is a little more than he bargained for. It starts with the body of a Hollywood producer in the trunk of a Rolls-Royce, shot twice in the head at close range - what looks like "trunk music", a Mafia hit.

Dan says: "Another Harry Bosch winner"
"A great thriller full of twists"

If you could sum up Trunk Music: Harry Bosch Series, Book 5 in three words, what would they be?

    Very good listening

What other book might you compare Trunk Music: Harry Bosch Series, Book 5 to and why?

Not sure I can compare this to another book as they are all different in plot but Trunk Music was totally enjoyable.

What about Dick Hill’s performance did you like?

Always an excellent reader, Dick Hill is a man with many voices and I would look for him when choosing another audilble book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were moments of sadness and some dry humour but I always expect this from Harry

    Any additional comments?

Michael Connelly has that way of twisting a plot. Just when you think you know the answer to, who was the killer he totally changes direction. I am looking forward to Harry's next case.

When you're as big and rough as Jack Reacher - and you have a badly-set, freshly-busted nose patched with silver duct tape - it isn't easy to hitch a ride. But Reacher has some unfinished business in Virginia, so he doesn't quit. And at last, he's picked up by three strangers - two men and a woman. But within minutes it becomes clear they're all lying about everything - and then they run into a police roadblock on the highway. There has been an incident, and the cops are looking for the bad guys....

Barry says: "Lee has done it again"
"Jack Reacher always delivers in his special way."

Where does A Wanted Man rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Right up there, probably the best so far.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Excellent plot . This one totally changes as you go along. One of Lee Child's best in my view. He seems to be getting better each time. So looking forward to the next one.

Have you listened to any of Jeff Harding’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Jeff Harding is my favorite reader. He has the ability to capture all the different voices with total conviction. You forget about the reader and are swept along by the personalities of the different characters. Keep it up Jeff.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, absolutely. Totally absorbed in story. Loved the changes in the plot. Needed to listen non stop.

    Any additional comments?

Lee Child always my favorite. May Jack Reacher never age or change as he is one in a million.
