"Enjoyable Listening"
This is a very well narrated and written audiobook. Full of historical points, yet still a flowing story of events and the daily lifes of the pilgrims.
"Thought Provoking"
Very suspenseful, thought provoking and interesting. Somewhat long, with a few parts that could have been left out without losing anything. A typical Dan Brown mystery with many spiritual overtones and messages.
"Two thumbs up!"
This is a very good history of the first navy of the United States, and of how important having a naval force was to the success in the revolutionary period. I recommend this book to anyone interested in American history, naval history, or who just enjoys a good book. The narration is very good also.
"An amazing man!"
This is a very enjoyable history of the life of one of our founding fathers. The author does a nice job of showing the demeanor and personality of Alexander Hamilton, and the narration is very good also.
"I learned more than I expected!"
I never know whether I should believe and follow all that I learn in books like this, but I enjoy having the knowledge and ability to make the choice. Whether you listen to this audiobook for the knowledge or to change your lifestyle, it is worth listening to and becoming more aware of what we put in our mouths does to us after we swallow it.
"A must read!"
What an exellent book! And, the narration was also very good and enjoyable to listen to. This is a wonderful history of Einstein's life and accomplishments and a good insight as to what kind of person, father, professor, and husband he was.
"Good tips for staying focused"
Like the other time management book I reviewed, this is a good book for everyone to listen to. As you might expect due to the subject matter, this book is well organized and flows nicely as the author covers the steps one can/should follow to increase his/her efficiency and productivity. It's definitely worth listeing to, but does not provide any new tips not also offered by other books on this subject.
"A cute and important story"
I heard a lot about this book, and even had it in paperback, but never took the time to read it, so I decided to listen to it instead. It is a cute story, and delivers a very important message in a very delicate way. But, you can get the message in about 1/3 the time, and don't need to listen to the entire book to learn it.
"This book lives up to its title"
This is a very good book for anyone who is interested in learning what Buddhism is and what it is not. It is narrated by the author, and he is very pleasant to listen to. It's full of information and in no way tries to sway or convert the listener into following Buddhism.
"Needs more content"
This was a good introduction to Buddhism, but I found other books that were much more educational. See my other reviews for those books.
"A good accouting of the post Civil War suffering"
This is a good history and accounting of the post Civil War suffering that freed blacks had to endure, but also shows the conviction, bravery and determination that many blacks possessed during this difficult period. I liked everything except the narrator's style. Something about this book left me thinking it could have been much more effective emotionally if narrated by someone else.
