This is an excellent book. I'm not a big Jerry Lewis fan but I found his stories heartwarming, funny, and honest. He was candid about the bad times but was still able look back at the good times with fondness and a sense of humor. A very entertaining read. I had a hard time turning off my IPOD.
The story moves along at a quick pace and once I started listening it was hard to stop. The book itself I would categorize as Fantasy/Young Adult. When I checked Audible it states this is book 1 of a series. The ending is statisfying although there is much left unresolved. I will definitely buy the next audiobook.
Not my favorite. It spend much of the book on Anna's internal thoughts and on bullying. It needs more story. Another reviews states that she gets out of several impossible situations which is true but I found that part interesting. She dislocations her shoulder and is able to perform Fantastic feats. I have dislocated my shoulder before and I had trouble putting on my jacket.
The is the first book I have heard her but she does an excellent job.
This is the worst audiobook since sound was invented. I don't know why this book has so many good reviews. It has a bunch of random ideas about the future with no apparent plot. It is also a very negative book. The first couple of hours of the book goes into brutal detail of how the US only has two jobs, pizza delivery and computer coding. If this sounds interesting, it isn't. Stay away.
If you were judging a book by its cover you might think this is a "Mike Hammer" or "Sam Spade" type novel but you would be wrong. The best way to describe this booklet, is to imagine a CSI episode told to you by two old men who forget how the show ended.
This is not SK's worst book(Rose Madder was worse) but close. I am a huge Stephen King fan but this was just plain boring. Nothing really happens through most of the book and when it does its not that interesting. Listen to the Dark Tower series instead.
I have been reading this series since 1982 and have the orginal hardback edition (which was 80$ new, yikes!!) and have loved every single book of the Dark Tower series. If, you are reading this, you have already decided to download the book. I agree with the other reviewers that the first book "The Gunslinger" has to be read/listen to first. There is another point in the book that SK says you can end here. For this 1st ending reading the first book isn't nessary(but really, who will stop then). Great ending to a great series.
